Venom then sacrifices himself in the explosion to keep Eddie safe... or so it seems. The movie ends with Eddie rekindling the flame with Anne Weying (Michelle Williams), their symbiote-aided kiss leaving the door open for their relationship.
He confesses that on his home planet, he's a “loser” like Eddie, and that since he now likes Earth, he's willing to fight with Eddie to save it from a pending invasion led by Riot. However, in the battle against Riot, Venom basically is willing to sacrifice his life to stop the bad guy.
It doesn't help that Venom isn't exactly friendly at first, threatening to eat Eddie. By the end of the first Venom movie, Eddie has stopped being frightened and disgusted by the symbiote. Venom has saved Eddie's life on more than one occasion, showing that, in his own way, he cares about Eddie.
This rather alarming news is swept under the rug during the finale and by the end of the movie, Venom and Eddie are back together in human-Symbiote bliss, with everyone rather conveniently forgetting that hosting Venom is slowly killing Eddie.
Though Venom at first enjoyed his newfound immunities, he left after being abandoned during a dangerous mission. After receiving a head wound, Eddie suffers amnesia. He is later separated from the symbiote, which is presumed killed by the government Overreach Committee.
Venom is destroyed, but its death is in and of itself an act of creation of the highest magnitude. As Venom's consciousness flickers out, the last thing we see is a memory of Eddie and the other people Venom loved and was willing to destroy itself to preserve.
The Venom/Spider-Man feud began years ago due to bad journalism, Spider-Man's heroism, and the mutual hatred of one angry symbiote. Though the Lethal Protector has become an anti-hero since the '90s, Venom is still widely regarded as one of Spider-Man's most well-known and iconic villains.
While Eddie Brock's Venom may not be the strongest here, he is recognizable and the most resilient Symbiote compared to many others. Even though he started out as a pure villain, Brock's Venom showed many heroic traits.
Unlike the overwhelming majority of its kind, the Venom symbiote developed an attachment to organic life beyond using them as chattel -- with its favorite host having been Eddie Brock, who it kept alive for five-hundred years.
Does Venom make his host immortal? Eddie was able to stay alive as a codex due to the bond he and his symbiote shared, proving that he achieved immortality granted to him by the source of his superhuman abilities, exactly like the Hulk.
One of the most tragic and weirdest Venom stories is how the symbiote made Eddie Brock pregnant, and this pregnancy created more chaos than Carange.
Dylan Brock is the son of Eddie Brock and Anne Weying. When Anne bonded to the Venom symbiote, she somehow became pregnant with Dylan. He was created by the symbiotes in order to destroy their god Knull and sever him from the hive-mind.
The symbiote loves Eddie. The symbiote has outright stated it's love for Eddie in the curren Venom run, but Eddie doesn't seem to reciprocat the symbiote's feelings to the same extent. Eddie cares for it, but also doesn't completely trust it.
They're also able to pass down knowledge from host to host. This is possibly what Venom was going to show Eddie: Pieces of transferred knowledge from hosts Venom has latched onto from all throughout the universe. There's a loose connection between the multiverse and symbiotes in their inception, too.
Shortly after, the Gargan version of Venom stumbled across Eddie and the symbiote attempted to bond with Brock again. The leftover symbiote inside Eddie rejected Venom and transformed him to become a stronger force for good.
“Venom” never achieves symbiosis, or anything like it. But the film's off-kilter schizophrenia gives it a madcap appeal.
Venom sacrificed himself to protect his human host from Drake's exploding rocket ship, sending Eddie safely into the San Francisco Bay. The closing moments reveal that Venom survived the blast and is once again bonded with Eddie.
Unfortunately, that's not going to be enough to deal with his latest and deadliest villain. Venom and Eddie are betrayed by a special symbiote that he can't control, with the foe posing as a friend who actually wants Venom's throne.

Originating as an offspring of Venom, Carnage is much more powerful than its parent symbiote because of the symbiotes' biology, and is in many ways a darker version of him.
The son of Carnage, Toxin, was believed to be the most powerful symbiote ever created. The raw power of Toxin was so great that he was feared even by the King in Black, Knull, creator and leader of the symbiotes.
In the comics, Deadpool and then Spider-Man encountered the Venom Symbiote on a planet called Battleworld during the “Secret Wars” storyline. Peter Parker wore the Black Suit Spider-Man costume and brought it back to Earth, eventually rejecting it outright for fear of its sentience.
Some people are completely immune to his Spider-Sense. Venom is known to act without setting off his Spider-Sense. This is because the symbiote acquired all knowledge of Peter's Spider-Sense and adapted to combat it. This immunity extended to Venom's "son" Carnage.
However, just before this, venom tells Eddie that symbiotes have a hive mind that spans “universes”. The reason why venom reacts so viscerally to seeing Peter Parker/Spider-Man on tv? Just like the NWH villains: Venom remembers Spider-Man killing him. That's why he goes “ohhhhh…that guy” and licks the screen.
