Denture tablets can be used as a cleaner for the toilet. Add a couple of denture tablets to the toilet bowl and allow them to work until the fizzing stops. Then, scrub the toilet as usual.
Drop one cleansing tablet into the toilet bowl and let sit for 20-30 minutes, the water will turn blue as it starts to effervesce. Use your toilet brush to work off any rings or stains in the bowl. Flush, and you're finished!

For a more heavy-duty approach, you can pour an entire bottle of white vinegar over and around the bowl, remembering to cover all of it. Then, leave the vinegar to work for a few hours or overnight. Use your toilet brush to scrub any leftover limescale deposits away the next day.
