Disney's Oceaneer Club and Lab are the two clubs for kids ages three to 12 on all four Disney cruise ships. Parents can drop off their kids anytime between roughly 9 a.m. and midnight or 1 a.m., and trained youth staff will watch the children and lead them in a wide variety of activities.
Yes. Group babysitting is available for children up to 3 y... Q: If my child will be turning 3 years old during the cruise, can I reserve an appointment prior to his or her birthday at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique or The Pirates League?
As you would expect, Disney Cruise Line's ships are all well suited for the brand's target audience --children between the ages of 4 and 11. But, as the line's youngest and most modern ship, Disney Fantasy offers a particularly special experience for the whole family.
Disney does a fantastic job of filling the days with activities for everyone, no matter their interest. Even as an adult, there is no better place to let out your inner child than a Disney cruise. Adults are welcome to meet all their favorite characters like Mickey & Minnie, Anna & Elsa, Chip & Dale, and many more.
Parents of children under 3 years old can sign their little ones up for group babysitting and playtime at It's a Small World Nursery on all ships. (An additional fee applies.) Kids of all ages can enjoy a host of Character experiences throughout the cruise.
We'll provide a Pack 'n Play or similar convertible crib, which can be used as both a sleeping crib and playpen for children under 35 inches tall.
You have a couple of different options for Disney Babysitting Services. You can use Kid's Nite Out and have a babysitter come to your room (or even accompany your family to the theme parks!). Older kids (ages 4-12) can enjoy the Children's Activity Center located at the Walt Disney World Dolphin hotel.
You'll be wowed by Disney Cruise Line's opportunities to enjoy the experience without kids. So even if you're just an adult there to have a great time, with a love for the Disney brand, you'll enjoy the adult-only pools and cafe, the adult programming and nightclubs, and bars too.
On all cruises and cruise journeys, minors under the age of 18 must be accompanied and share a cabin with a parent, legal guardian or other responsible adult over the age of 21.
Overall, based on our experience, I'd say Disney Cruises are best for kids between three and 10. This is the age range when kids generally enjoy the Disney elements the most. Of course every kid is different – if your teens still love Disney, they'll be happy on the ship.
You arrive at a port that will inevitably be crowded, wait in a crowded place for an extended period of time, then board a crowded ship. The ship feels crowded because the staterooms are not ready when most people get on the ship. This leaves everyone, and I mean everyone, roaming the main areas with carry-on luggage.
You'll see Characters around the ship, in stage shows and during kids' activities in our youth clubs. And if one of your ports of call is Castaway Cay, you'll have a chance to meet Disney Characters during an onshore Dance Party.
No need to bring the Pack-and-Play, cruise lines have cribs that they can put in your room. They won't be overly fancy, but it is a dedicated spot for your little one to sleep while on vacation. Best of all, there is no charge for this service.
We love to cruise with friends to enjoy all of the activities, entertainment, even dining, together. To request to sit with your friends at dinner, you simply need to link your reservations together. To do this, sign into My Reservations.
All of the kids on board wear their favorite Disney character costumes at some point during the cruise (if not every day). Formal Night – A fancy dress or suit and tie is not required dress code for children on formal night in the main dining rooms. However, almost every child on our ship dressed up in formal attire.
Choose the Right Itinerary
They usually wait to schedule their cruise during school breaks such as spring break or summer vacation and holidays. Book your cruise during the school term and you'll most likely see a drop in young passengers. Longer Itineraries = Fewer Kids: Families tend to book 4- to 8-night cruises.
The safety measures that cruise lines have on balconies are not foolproof. Kids can be very creative to get what they want. Always keep the balcony door locked, and accompany your children on the balcony.
Yes! You will find the most kid-friendly options on family-oriented cruise lines such as Disney, Royal Caribbean, Carnival, MSC and Norwegian, and the least on luxury lines or small ships geared more toward adults.
**NOTE** Teenagers will be Charged adult fares (13-17). Child rates apply to ages 3-12. Children ages 0-2 pay 50% of the child rate. This does not impact access to areas of the ship that are designated as “18 and over” (like the spa, adults-only pool, and the adults-only restaurants (Palo and Remy).
A Disney cruise brings families together to create long-lasting memories with original, musical live shows, spectacular fireworks at sea, incredible destinations like our private island and so much more.
Many theme park nannies do this work on the side while holding down other child care jobs. Others are full-time college students looking to pick up some extra cash. The pay is OK — but if you work for an agency, you won't receive the full $25-$35 hourly rate families pay.
Pricing for nanny services are $30 per hour, $35 per hour and $40 per hour, respectively. All nannies are CPR-certified, have visited a Disney park in the past, and have at least three years of nanny experience; however, the graduating tiers of service include additional expertise from your nanny.
A professionally trained Theme Park Nanny will serve as travel childcare tour guide or blend in, it's your call. Our unique Concierge Marie program crafts tailored travel childcare plans specific to your family. Your vacation, your way, we are at your service.
At 0-3 years old, your child may not be old enough to prefer DCL over other cruise lines. They won't know its Disney, but the ambiance provides a Disney and family-friendly experience which babies and toddlers may still enjoy; the music, songs, characters and themed restaurants and activities.
