Much of the time, an INFP may seem completely happy with their own company, almost to the point of appearing antisocial. But INFPs, though definitely Introverts, do have a greater-than-average need for meaningful human connection.
INFPs often talk about feeling lonely in the sense that they see possibilities and futures that nobody else thinks are possible. They often feel alone in their need to live up to their personal values and hopes for a better world.
INTJ: One of The Rarest, Loneliest Personality Types [Introverts and Writing]
Isolation is common to INFPs. Due to our tendency to feel misunderstood, we have an inner sacred space where we go when things get too real for us.
What Is a Loner Personality? Loners are people who actively try to stay as far away as possible from social interactions. They prefer solitude over the company of others and tend to enjoy being preoccupied with their thoughts. Loners usually don't mind sitting idly or waiting, so long as they are alone when doing it.
Idealist (INFP)
INFPs are quiet and prefer not to talk about themselves. They enjoy spending time alone in quiet places.
Enter the Confident Individualists: the “lone wolves” of the personality type spectrum. Much like a lone wolf in the wild, Confident Individualists are born of a social species, yet are much more self-sufficient than most of their kind.
Shallow conversations, relationships, and activities turn INFPs off because they see them as a waste of time. People who focus more on appearances or material possessions than on substance and meaning are very unappealing to INFPs.
One of the reasons why INFPs disappear or ghost people is because they need time to process what's going on in their heads before responding. INFPs are often deep thinkers who need quiet time alone to reflect on things that happened throughout the day.
INFPs tend to be on the quiet side, but there's usually a whimsical warmth that shows up anyway. But when they are stressed and overwhelmed, they appear more distant, detached, and stoic. Usually they are absorbed in thoughts, trying to sort out how to handle what's plaguing them.
ISFJ. ISFJ's are quiet, conscientious, and kind. They are responsible in nature and are committed to meeting their obligations. They have a tendency to put the needs of others above their own.
Statistically speaking, Assertive Virtuosos (ISTP-As), Architects (INTJ-As), and Logisticians (ISTJ-As) are the least likely to seek affection from everyone, while Turbulent Campaigners (ENFP-Ts) and Entertainers (ESFP-Ts) are the most likely.
ISTPs are the least intense personality type. They are cool, calm, and collected individuals. They are not likely to get wrapped up in their own thoughts and emotions or dwell on things that have happened in the past. ISTPs prefer to focus on what is happening right now and on practical matters.
Although Mediators are warm and accepting, they don't always find it easy to make friends. This may be because superficial, casual relationships can leave these personalities feeling a bit empty.
INFPs get embarrassed when they are put on the spot and are expected to react emotionally to something. This could involve something like being given a really exorbitant gift or having a surprise party thrown for them.
INFPs are known to be introverted, quiet, and reserved. Being in social situations can drain their energy, and they prefer interacting with a select group of close friends.
The sad fact is, INFPs really struggle to get people to listen to them. It's easy to see why. We aren't particularly assertive, and tend to be soft-spoken, so it's easy to get drowned out or ignored. We also think differently than many types, so others might just not 'get' what we're trying to say.
INFPs keep their emotions and feelings tucked away and hidden from the outside world. They view their values and feelings as private and guard them closely. In fact, most typology books describe Fi-dominant types as appearing “aloof, cool” or “hard to read”.
INFP personality superpower – introverted Feeling
For those with preferences for INFP, their favorite process is introverted Feeling. This process allows INFPs to focus on living by their internal values and apply their own subjective values system anytime a decision is being made.
However, if INFPs can't escape the shallow plane quickly, they will lose interest in the relationship (even though they may continue being friendly to that person — we hate being rude).
INFP: Decisiveness
Decisiveness is a turn-on for INFPs. Making decisions isn't an INFP's strength. Sometimes it's because they usually spend a lot of time analyzing different options and exploring all the possibilities in order to come up with a conclusion that would make sense for everyone involved.
Exploring connections, ideas, possibilities, and solutions is inspiring to INFPs. They love being able to jump from idea to idea to see unusual and random opportunities. The spontaneity of discussion, the lack of boundaries, and the creativity involved in brainstorming is all very stimulating to them!
INFPs and ISFJs are the cutest types. They both possess a natural sweetness and affection that makes them hard to resist. INFPs and ISFJs are both empathetic and caring, which can be very cute.
ESFJs and ENFJs are the most loving personality types. They are outgoing, compassionate, and emotional people who love to express their feelings. They often show their love through physical affection, words of affirmation, and acts of service.
Shrek is an ISTP personality type. He is practical and is drawn to understanding how things work.
