Elsa's opening narration reflects on grief and death. She has left her post with the cattle, staying instead by the wagons. One morning, she leaves the wagons to sit by herself after getting her period (she won't be carrying Ennis' child).
As expected, Ennis' death had a big impact on Elsa's wellbeing. She starts episode 6 as she finished episode 5—in tears. While crying in the back of the wagon, she pauses and notices she's bleeding. She informs Margaret she's going for some privacy because she got her period.
She was born with the powers to manipulate ice and snow and, as a child, used them to entertain her sister. However, after Elsa accidentally hurt Anna with her powers and Anna's memories had to be erased, she grew afraid of her powers and was unable to appropriately control them.
To this, another child replied, "So does everyone else's." According to Jennifer Lee, Anna is 18 years old in the film, while both Elsa and Kristoff are 21 years old and Hans is 23 years old.
The time period for Frozen is set in July 1843. In the upper left-hand corner of the geographical map shown in Frozen II, it is suggested by a set of Roman numerals that the year in which Agnarr and Iduna's ship sank was 1840. (MDCCCXL is the exact numeral order.)

She had kept it a secret, likely fearing how the Arendellians would react due to the conflict between their groups. This also explains why Iduna heeded Grand Pabbie's warning in the first film and decided to keep Elsa sheltered from the people of Arendelle in order to avoid more fear and tension.
The ice from which the palace is constructed is capable of taking on different colors, such as purple, blue, red and yellow, based on Elsa's emotional state (blue when she is happy or neutral, yellow or amber when she is angry, and red when she is frightened).
What sets Elsa apart from the mass array of Disney princesses is her inner battle with mental illness, anxiety and depression. In Frozen II, Elsa is the only person who can hear a voice but everyone couldn't.
Indeed, as there are no condoms or any other reliable form of birth control in the frontier, there's a real possibility that Ennis really did impregnate Elsa. Sadly, before 1883 could even drop any clues that Elsa was pregnant, Ennis died in the next episode while Elsa died during the finale.
And because this is one of the few shows in which that phrase might be taken literally, allow me to clarify: Elsa gets married in Sunday's episode. The groom? Handsome Sam, the Comanche man she met [checks notes] last episode.
Later, Elsa became entangled with Sam, a Comanche warrior who saved her life on the trail. Though she and Sam acknowledged that she was his wife, he felt he could not leave his lands and people, and Elsa agreed to return to him after her family had completed their journey and found a homestead.
The strength of their bond is such that Kristoff turned to Anna whenever he was upset and in need of support, for he saw her as a good source of advice. Three years on Kristoff's love for Anna is stronger than ever, and eventually he felt that the time was right to propose to her.
Snow White is only 14 years old, making her the youngest. Jasmine, who is supposed to be 15, is the second youngest. Cinderella and Tiana are the oldest, both 19 years old.
Elsa's sexuality hasn't been determined yet within the Frozen franchise, but one theory suggests that Elsa's love interest may have already been introduced within Frozen 2, confirming the long-held hypothesis that Elsa (Idina Menzel) is gay.
