Later, Elsa became entangled with Sam, a Comanche warrior who saved her life on the trail. Though she and Sam acknowledged that she was his wife, he felt he could not leave his lands and people, and Elsa agreed to return to him after her family had completed their journey and found a homestead.
The lovers depart, with Elsa now heading north wearing her new Native American clothing. As he rides away she screams that she loves him in his language. He returns and excitedly declares that she is now the wife of a warrior, and that she is a warrior.

Although the sequel reveals how Elsa got her powers and offers insight into the mysterious death of her parents, Elsa does not get a girlfriend in the film.
Her love for Anna, and Anna's love for her, is what saves the day by the end of the film, and she learns to revel in her powers once she discovers that she can control them through love (awwwww).
