In Series 7, it is revealed that Lip graduated from the University of Nottingham, is now working in London as an architect and is engaged to be married. Mimi Maguire travels to meet him and leaves his daughter Katie permanently in his care after Mandy's tragic death.
Just moments before her wedding to Sean, a high-as-a-kite Frank busted in and revealed that his daughter's soon-to-be husband had been using heroin. Needless to say, the nuptials did not go on as planned, with Sean taking off to fight for custody of his son.
At the end of Season 3, Jimmy was supposedly killed off-screen by a Brazilian drug lord. Soon after, showrunner John Wells confirmed that Chatwin would not return as a series regular in Season 4 because his character did indeed get killed.

While fans may have been disappointed that there wasn't a twelfth season of Shameless, the Hall of Shame limited series provided a fitting end to the show. It allowed fans to say goodbye to their favorite characters and provided a satisfying conclusion to the storylines established throughout the show's ten seasons.
Lip has a juvenile prison record. Ian was his accomplice several times, but Lip covers for him because Ian wants to enter the Marines.
Kev returned and was able to help prove Frank's innocence. He mentioned that he was still happily married to Veronica though he did come close to cheating on her with a police woman on the estate. Carl drove Kev back to Nottingham, where he had moved after leaving prison, at the end of the episode.
Chuckie ends up in Juvie for four months, for possession of illegal drugs. Chuckie's respect for Carl remains, despite him being responsible for him being in Juvie. Chuckie is not very intelligent, and he doesn't really speak much. Chuckie plays a minor role throughout the seasons despite his incidents with Carl.
Svetlana sees sex as a business proposition, but instead of money, she receives a roof over her head, a job at The Alibi, and someone to help raise her child. The physical actions soon turn into an emotional affair between Svetlana and Veronica, and the two get married to keep Svetlana from being deported.
