In this movie, the central tension concerns what is best for an adorable and incredibly mathematically talented little girl named Mary. Although framed as a legal battle between her uncle and her grandmother, the tension could just as easily be described as choosing between her social and academic development.
1. There Is Always Sacrifice: During the film, Mary the math prodigy learns what her truest potential could be if she went to a special school for people like her opposed to a practical school life. Whichever road Mary would want to pursue has its own pros and cons.

Gifted is a 2017 American drama film directed by Marc Webb and written by Tom Flynn. It stars Chris Evans, Mckenna Grace, Lindsay Duncan, Jenny Slate and Octavia Spencer.
The film, inspired by the 2007 documentary Beautiful Young Minds, focuses on a teenage English mathematics prodigy named Nathan (Asa Butterfield) who has difficulty understanding people, and is autistic, but finds comfort in numbers.
The MPAA rated A Beautiful Mind PG-13 for intense thematic material, sexual content and a scene of violence.
