"The Hulk has a whole healing factor... why didn't his arm heal?" Anthony Russo replied that, healing factor or no, using the combined power of the stones is simply too much for any being to walk away from — even Thanos, who famously slapped the Hulk around like a rag doll in the opening scene of Infinity War.
However, his arm was still damaged, requiring the sling Banner sported in Shang-Chi. Unlike when he was Smart Hulk, in human form the arm started slowly repairing itself. So, he kept wearing the device -- which prevented him from Hulking out. This is how blood from his wounds contaminates Jen after the accident.
Marvel fans know that Hulk seriously injured his arm after he used the “new and improved” infinity gauntlet to bring back all of the people that disappeared during the blip with a snap of his fingers.
Why is Hulk's arm healed in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law? Well, it turns out Bruce has his cousin Jennifer “Jen” Walters to thank for helping to heal his arm back to its full strength following its injury during the final battle with Thanos.
Bruce Banner's arm is fully healed after Avengers: Endgame thanks to She-Hulk: Attorney At Law. Although Hulk only made one appearance in Phase 4 before She-Hulk, Mark Ruffalo's cameo in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings raised several questions about his Marvel Cinematic Universe character.
One idea is that the creation of Professor Hulk let Bruce's intelligence inject more humanity into the Hulk. As a result, his rage was tempered enough to affect his strength. That being said, the traditional version of the Hulk wasn't without his humanity.
Weakness: RAGE
While Hulk's rage makes him almost completely invulnerable and the strongest being in the entire universe, it also is a huge weakness. The increase of his power when in rage mode is massive. However, at the same time, he also loses almost all his intelligence when he grows angrier.
The Inverse Analysis — Hulk and Bruce Banner had some ongoing power issues throughout Infinity War that ultimately led to Bruce Banner absorbing the Hulk persona entirely going into Endgame. Hulk refused to emerge for the rest of Infinity War after losing to Thanos, which was somewhat frustrating for viewers.
A Marvel fan seems to have figured out the real reason why Bruce Banner—played by Mark Ruffalo—could not transform into Hulk at will in last year's Avengers: Infinity War. Hulk was being too difficult to control for Bruce Banner in Avengers: Infinity War.
He healed himself of the wound inflicted by Thor using Stormbreaker. However, it seems that in the MCU, the Stones carry a price. Just as the soul required to obtain the Soul Stone cannot be retrieved with the Stones, so too the injuries inflicted by using the Stones cannot be so easily healed.
Thanos was already dead—decapitated by Thor—in the MCU at the time of the Hulk's snap. Therefore, neither Hulk nor anyone else were anticipating Thanos from the past and a different timeline to show up, with guns blazing, just minutes following the reverse-snap.
Hulk Heal!
In the first look at Marvel Studios upcoming Disney+ series, She-Hulk, Mark Ruffalo's Bruce Banner appears yet again in Smart Hulk mode, but this time, his right arm appears to be fully healed with the damage caused by his Infinity Stone-powered snap reversed.
Like Deadpool and Wolverine – but way less publicized – the Hulk has the ability to grow entirely new tissue and heal from most wounds in just seconds. Severe wounds as well – including the near-complete destruction of his body mass – are also no match for the healing abilities of the Hulk.
Hulk would not bleed; you can't pierce Hulk's skin, certainly not through a dinky car accident. So we needed to have him be in human form in order to have his Gamma-radiated blood get onto Jen and into her system, and we had to come up with a reason for why he was human."
Abomination – Emil Blonsky. A gamma-spawned monstrous powerhouse. The Hulk's primary physical rival.
Losing Himself
Not to go too far down the rabbit hole of pop psychology, but what Hulk and Banner are most afraid of is losing themselves to one another.
The Hulk has been called the strongest Avenger given his unparalleled, planet-shattering strength, but within the 2099 future of Marvel and DC's crossover universe, the Hulk would be considered the weakest Avenger (for one specific reason).
In the debut, Lee chose grey for the Hulk because he wanted a color that did not suggest any particular ethnic group. Colorist Stan Goldberg, however, had problems with the grey coloring, resulting in different shades of grey, and even green, in the issue.
1 Breaker Of Worlds
In the far future of Marvel, Hulk becomes more powerful than the Devourer Of Worlds Galactus. This is Hulk's ultimate form. Breaker Of Worlds can smash entire universes in an instant, his giant form traverses through space towering above galaxies of planets.
Thanos' Sword Is Made From Uru
Uru is a special metal in the Marvel universe that is said to only be created in the core of dying stars, making it ultra rare and incredibly strong. In fact, Thor's Mjolnir is made of the Uru metal making it comparable to Thanos's sword in terms of strength.
In an attempt to reverse the effects of Thanos' snap, the seemingly impervious Professor Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) donned the Infinity Gauntlet but was left badly injured when he attempted to snap his fingers.
The Time Heist in Avengers: Endgame allowed the surviving heroes to get the Infinity Stones and with the help of a Nano Gauntlet developed by Tony Stark, Bruce Banner, and Rocket Raccoon, Smart Hulk undid Thanos' snap.
