In season 4, he is cured at Zona but loses his special abilities. He later regains his abilities when he was bitten by Lucy to save his life after being bitten by a zombie.
As the series progresses, Murphy becomes more and more misanthropic, although he shows greater sympathy towards the zombies. Unable to kill them or watch them suffer, Murphy seems to connect more with the undead than the humans around him.
Murphy can still control the real zombies, see, so he gets them to break into the compound.
The cure he had been administered seems to not have worked as much as they thought, as his skin begins to deteriorate. He finds himself with strange, mental connections to the zombies around them. He eventually turns blue (then eventually goes back to his normal skin color). Then he turns red.
A Blend is a reference to the people who are turned by Murphy, they are half human half zombie. They maintain a degree of mental control and awareness, but are essentially controlled by him. Murphy infects others with his saliva, typically by biting them.
Addy is now seen with an eyepatch. This was most likely caused by her fight with The Man. She and Lucy Murphy rescue a girl from her zombified mother from the car. They get back on the road on their way to Newmerica when they get captured by Zona soldiers.
In season 4, he is cured at Zona but loses his special abilities. He later regains his abilities when he was bitten by Lucy to save his life after being bitten by a zombie.
Anyone else disappointed that Murphy and Warren didn't get together? I hated the ending to the final season! Why would Warren choose someone whom she's only known for a short time rather than choosing Murphy someone she's known since the beginning of the apocalypes?!
Just as 10K is being cornered by a few zombies, Red and 5k show up to save him. 10K doubts she is real, due to the hallucinations he has been having of her prior to the episode. He claims, "whenever I'm in a bad spot a vision of you comes to save me." Red is flattered by this and kisses 10K to prove that she is real.
Z Nation Met The Same Fate As Many SYFY Shows
Z Nation was never a huge ratings hit, but it did respectable business for SYFY, which is why its season 5 cancellation came as a shock. The series may have been canned because the network tends to cap their shows at five seasons max, likely due to the rising costs.
Syfy has canceled the zombie drama after five seasons. The Dec. 28 season-ender will now serve as its series finale. The cabler confirmed its decision to end the show after producer David Michael Latt first announced the news in a video on social media.
10K dies, but comes back to life. Warren chokes him with a bandanna, he dies, Murphy bites him, and Sun Mei injects him. Murphy proclaims him dead, some time passes and everyone thinks that it did not work.
Dr. Sun Mei is a main character and discoverer of the cure for the zombie virus.
Lucy Serena Murphy (Tara Holt; seasons 4, guest seasons 2–3) is the daughter of Murphy and Serena.
Ultimately, Murphy ends up with Max. She and her long-time on-again, off-again boyfriend get engaged after the rockiest of romances. After his untimely death, she remains committed to Max.
"The Siege of Murphytown"
It is revealed that Kaya is pregnant with Citizen Z's child.
Lucy is born in a stable under a star, with several zombies lurking about. Her mother, Serena sacrificed herself to save Lucy. The next morning, Murphy sat at the side of a road with Lucy, newly born, in his arms.
When more zombies attack, Doc and Addy get hit with the strange white powder. Turns out it's Anthrax, and it lays out 10K.
Murphy finds out she isn't pregnant. Thank GOD. Murphy is the absolute last person who needs to be pregnant. Her reckless behavior is indicative of someone who isn't ready to be a mother.
Despite Murphy always believing Jennifer was always alive, no one (especially Sarah) listened. Although the episode ends with Murphy's arrest, she rubs salt in the wound by telling Sarah how wrong she was, and provides Jennifer Walker's location. Murphy still ends up in prison, but she at least helped one person.
"In The Dark" fans narrowly saw a happy ending for Murphy as she finally ends up with Max (Casey Deidrick). The two on-again, off-again lovers ultimately accept their feelings for each other and get engaged.
Freddie Highmore, the lead actor in Dr. Shaun Murphy's role in The Good Doctor, plays a surgeon that has autism spectrum disorder. However, Freddie doesn't have autism or any of its primary symptoms.
Clarke and Bellamy discussed how to punish Murphy for Charlotte's death, despite it being completely her own decision and not at all his fault. They banish him from camp and forget that he ever existed for a while.
The biggest reveal in the season 2 finale of The Good Doctor was Dr. Shaun Murphy (Freddie Highmore) being reinstated as a surgical resident. But to get to that point, Shaun had to be assigned to lab work analysis (pathology), fired, and then ultimately regain his surgical resident status.
