When Draco hesitates, Snape appears and performs the Killing Curse on Dumbledore, only after Dumbledore pleads with Snape saying, "Severus . . . please...". Dumbledore dies on Hogwarts' grounds. Shortly after his death, Dumbledore's portrait magically appears in the Headmaster's office.
Sadly, no. He dies in the Half-Blood Prince (book 6) and even though he appears to Harry in his NDE vision/dream in the Deathly Hallows (book 7, part 2), he does not truly come back to life. Unfortunately.
The main significance of his death was that it bolstered Voldemort's trust in Snape. Dumbledore's death helped Snape regain the Dark Lord's trust, thereby making it easier for Snape to devise a successful plan to finally kill Voldemort. Additionally, his death released the elder wand and preserved Draco Malfoy's soul.
Does Dumbledore die in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, because it seems strange that Harry Potter brought back four of his loved ones with the resurrection stone, but surprisingly didn't revive the newly-deceased Dumbledore.
Overview. In the sixth book, Dumbledore dies when facing Severus Snape on top of the Astronomy Tower, as Harry helplessly watches from concealment.

Voldemort summons Snape to the Shrieking Shack. Erroneously believing Snape is the master of the Elder Wand and that Snape's death will make him the master of the Wand, Voldemort kills Snape by having his pet snake Nagini bite him through the neck.
Following Lord Voldemort's defeat at the hands of her student Harry Potter and the deaths of Headmasters Albus Dumbledore and Severus Snape, McGonagall takes the position of Headmistress.
Following Albus Dumbledore's death, Professor McGonagall took over as the Headmistress of Hogwarts. She remained at Hogwarts after Lord Voldemort took over and appointed Severus Snape as the acting Headmaster.
All lessons at Hogwarts were suspended and all examinations were postponed, every student (with the exception of those taken from school early and Draco Malfoy) was present, as were all Professors, excluding Severus Snape. Dress robes were worn.
Severus Snape is said to have been a Death Eater - a follower of Voldemort - in the past and then set aside his "mistakes" and joined Dumbledore's side.
In The Deathly Hallows Part 2, Voldemort meets Snape at the Boathouse and tells him the Elder Wand doesn't seem to work properly for him. He concludes that, because Snape killed Dumbledore, the Elder Wand belongs to him. So, Voldemort had to kill Snape for the wand's allegiance to switch.
During the first book, Harry Potter catches a Golden Snitch by swallowing it during his first Quidditch match. Later, Potter discovers Dumbledore hid the resurrection stone within that snitch. After Dumbledore's death, his will leaves the resurrection stone-containing snitch to Harry.
So when Harry came along , with James's untidy jet black hair and lily's green eyes , Snape didn't know how to feel . He had loved everything about lily , and therefore by extension loved her son , but Harry was James's son too. Truth was , he loved Harry as well.
The name was accurate, as he was indeed from half-blood lineage. Snape's mother was a witch named Eileen Prince, while his father was Tobias Snape, a muggle. In terms of story-writing purposes, it draws a parallel to Harry, who was also a half-blood because his mother, Lily, was muggle-born.
Professor McGonagall is a Death Eater
According to the theory, McGonagall's seeming disregard for Harry Potter's safety, her talent for transfiguration, and and her stoic nature all point to the fact that she was a Death Eater.
But Voldemort went on to kill him during the Battle of Hogwarts, leaving Hogwarts without a Headmaster once again. Thankfully, Hogwarts' Board of Governors appointed McGonagall as Headmistress after Snape's death, a title which she still holds in the series' current timeline.
It can be assumed that Hagrid kept in contact with the trio after the war. By 2017 he was still living, and presumably still teaching and tending to his gamekeeping duties at Hogwarts.
The Head of Slytherin is Horace Slughorn (who left the role to Severus Snape for fifteen years before taking it up again in 1996) and the House's patron ghost is the Bloody Baron.
Harry is the Heir of Gryffindor, as is his great-grandfather Albus Dumbledore. Harry/Tonks. On his sixteenth birthday Harry gets a surprising visitor: the ghost of his ancestor Godric Gryffindor.
Horace Slughorn (1997 - present) Horace, after being convinced by Dumbledore and Harry Potter, returned to Hogwarts as the Potions master. After Severus killed Dumbledore and became headmaster of Hogwarts, it was decided that Horace was to become the Head of Slytherin House once again.
12. Snape's Last Words. In the [Deathly Hallows] book, Snape's dying words to Harry were "Look at me". Right then we did not realize the significance of his words but in the very next chapter when Harry goes through Snape's memories in the Pensieve, he comes to know how much Snape loved Lily.
Warner Bros. Harry kills Voldemort during the Battle of Hogwarts, and the villain's last sounds are a scream of pain as he dies. In the book, his last line is "Avada Kedavra," which he casts at Harry before it rebounds and kills him instead.
