Mysteriously, the broken pieces of Mjolnir, the hammer of the thunder god, transformed her into
Jane does not transform into a god-like being like Thor himself. While she does get to wield his powers while in her Mighty Thor form, she is not permanently altered. Instead, she returns to her weakened human form once she lets go of the hammer.
She asked Heimdall to take her to the hammer's location, so he transported her to the Moon. When Jane picked up Mjolnir, she instantly transformed and gained Thor's powers. Jane decided to keep her identity as Mighty Thor a secret, but it drove the original Thor crazy, not knowing who took control of the hammer.
Long ago, in WHAT IF? (1977) #10, Jane transformed from a normal, human woman into Thordis, the Goddess of Thunder. Even though this was a “What If” story from a slice of the Marvel Multiverse, the issue predicted what would later come to pass.
In a moment of wistful affection for his girlfriend, Thor asked his trusty hammer to always protect Jane, and in doing so unwittingly enchanted Mjolnir to do just that. Just like Thor's father Odin once enchanted the hammer to only be lifted by someone who is worthy, Thor cast a spell that let Jane use its powers.
Thor Odinson initially suspects Jane might be this new hero. But he eliminates her from his list of suspects because she is going through chemotherapy for breast cancer, which, he reasons, would make her too weak to fight.
The chemotherapy is attacking the cancerous cells but Mjolnir doesn't identify the cancer as an illness just as another part of her it needs to protect. Plus chemotherapy really does weaken Jane and make her sick so it's easy to see as an illness on it's own.
However, the film also implies that the hammer only sees Jane as worthy because Thor unintentionally revised the rules of Mjölnir, giving it the power to protect her. Captain America didn't need anything special for the hammer to see him as worthy – he's able to wield it without issue in Avengers: Endgame.
Portrayed by
Love is the daughter of Gorr the God Butcher, whose death by starvation triggered her father's murderous crusade against all gods for forsaking them. She was ultimately resurrected by the cosmic entity Eternity in accordance with Gorr's wish, brought on by Thor's advice.
Thor can wield both Mjolnir and Stormbreaker without dying, or it causes him to strain his health. It is unfortunate, but the fact that being mortal is what kills Jane for being Mighty Thor makes the original Thor Odinson more powerful.
The hammer remained unattended on the Moon, from where it telepathically sought Jane out. Jane eventually gave in to the hammer's call, and requested Heimdall to take her to the hammer's location. Once there, Jane picked up Mjolnir, gaining Thor's powers and transforming and improving her physique.
Gorr's Daughter Love is Chris Hemsworth's Real-Life Daughter
Jane Foster promises Gorr with her own dying breath that Thor will take care of the child, and Thor, now heartbroken and alone, chooses to adopt the child. But in real life, the actor that plays Love is actually Chris Hemsworth's real daughter.
Despite Valkyrie being unapologetically bisexual in the comics, with her most notable relationship being with archaeologist Annabelle Riggs, her sexuality went unmentioned in the third film of the Thor franchise.
Upon saving Asgard from Ragnarok, Odin forces her to relinquish the hammer to Donald Blake so he can become the new Thor. This resulted in Jane losing her powers, but she was allowed to remain on Asgard and keep her goddess status since she later falls in love with and marries Thor.
She was a breast cancer victim until she discovered Mjolnir and its transformational qualities. Because she knew there was an end in sight, she was able to push herself even harder. Even in her immortal Thor body, she's aware of her own humanity, and that's what makes her stronger than Odin.
During the War of the Realms, Jane became the first of a new generation of Valkyries, after the death of Brunnhilde. She became armed with Undrjarn the All-WeaponOpens in new tab, named so by the soul of Brunnhilde as she and the Valkyrior spirits rose from their bodies to find Valhalla.

Gorr then uses his wish to revive his daughter. Now, she is not just the daughter of Gorr, but also the daughter reborn from Eternity. Gorr gets one final moment with Love before he passes away, content that his daughter is alive once more.
History. Torunn is the daughter of Thor and Jane Foster. She's a member of the Next Avengers. When she was a a child she's been looked after by her mother after Thor leaves on an important mission.
Originally there was no restriction placed on the hammer for who can use it but after Thor's reckless behavior, Odin Borson placed an enchantment on it. This spell read "Whosoever holds this hammer, if he be worthy, shall possess the power of Thor." Only those deemed worthy to lift Mjolnir can.
The short answer is yes, Thor is still worthy of lifting Mjolnir after Thor: Love and Thunder. His worthiness comes down to the reason why Mjolnir chose Jane. In the comic books, Mjolnir does choose Jane to be Thor after Thor becomes unworthy and is unable to lift it.
With his Infinity Formula that had kept him from aging failing him, Fury was severely weakened but able to incapacitate Thor by whispering something in his ear that immediately made him unable to lift Mjolnir; the Odinson rendered unworthy in an instant.
A happy-go-lucky, ABBA-soundtracked montage, the scene features Thor making Mjolnir promise that it will always protect Jane, no matter what — even if it means coming back from the “dead” after being smashed to pieces by his villainous sister Hela.
Jane Foster was simply an old flame of Thor's; she is his one great love, the one he never really recovered from losing. In a montage narrated by Korg (Taika Waititi) and “Our Last Summer” by ABBA playing in the background, audiences get to see how loving of a relationship they really had.
3 She Controls Electricity On Her Own, No Mjolnir Needed!
However, even when she doesn't have this weapon, she can create and throw lightning bolts. For instance, she's able to conjure lightning from the inside of a frost giant's head in Thor #3 in order to escape the monster.
