If you want Siri to stop reading notifications solely on AirPods, scroll to Announce When Connected To and turn off the toggle next to Headphones instead.
Yet, some Apple users report receiving notifications about unfamiliar AirPods moving with them even when the AirPods detected are their own. This can become annoying rather quickly. Thankfully, you can get rid of these notifications by resetting your AirPods and turning off the 'Notify When Left Behind' feature.
If you're getting a tracking notification for your own AirPods, you'll want to reset and re-pair them. Once the reset process has completed, just open the charging case lid and hold the AirPods near your device to start the pairing process.
In the AirPods Pro settings screen, tap Left or Right, then select Siri. You can have one AirPod set for Siri and the other set to change noise control modes.
Wear your AirPods, and make sure they're connected to your device. Say “Hey Siri,” then use Siri to get answers to questions, control apps, and more. For example, say something like “Hey Siri, what causes a rainbow?” or “Hey Siri, set a meeting with Gordon at 9” to create an event in Calendar.
Select Voice. Disable these settings: “Bluetooth Audio Recording,” “Allow Bluetooth requests with device locked,” and “Allow wired headset requests with device locked.” Once disabled, restart your Android device.
If you pair an iPhone with headphones, Siri may be unintentionally activated when you press and hold the Play/Call button on your headphones. To prevent this if you just want to play or pause music, press the Play/Call button as quickly as possible.
Similarly, if another Apple device, most commonly AirPods, are within your vicinity for a period of time and have tried unsuccessfully to pair with your device, you may receive an “Unknown Accessory Detected Near You” or “AirPods Detected” notification.
Spatial Audio Head Tracking: (AirPods (3rd generation), AirPods Pro, and AirPods Max) When you turn on Follow iPhone, the audio adjusts based on your head movement (for supported audio and video content).
You can use Siri with your AirPods Pro to get answers to questions, control apps, and more. See Find out what Siri can do in the iPhone User Guide.
Go to Settings > Siri & Search, then do any of the following: Change when Siri provides voice responses: Tap Siri Responses, then choose an option below Spoken Responses. Always see the response from Siri onscreen: Tap Siri Responses, then turn on Always Show Siri Captions.
If you're not a fan of voice assistants altogether or don't need Google Assistant popping up whenever the power button is pressed, just remove it as the default voice assistant. Go to Settings > Apps and notifications > Default apps > Assist and Voice Input > Default assistant app and select none to resolve.
Siri reads your incoming notifications out loud when your headphones are connected to your iPhone or iPad, you're wearing them, and your device is locked. If the app that you're using classifies a notification as time sensitive or as a direct message, Siri plays a tone, then announces the notification automatically.
Find and open the Google Assistant option. A Popular Settings section appears at the top, and an All Settings section a bit lower, arranged alphabetically. Navigate to and tap General under the All Settings section. Turn off Google Assistant by flipping its switch to the off position.
