People often stay at The Leaky Cauldron when they come to London on shopping trips. The pub serves as a way of entering into Diagon Alley from the Muggle world for Muggle-borns and their parents (both of whom, until the first letter from Hogwarts, have no magical knowledge or means of entering).
Diagon Alley, the wizarding high street located in London, is only accessible to wizards, hidden from Muggles. The only Muggles given access are those accompanying their Muggle-born children.
They were able to get in because of Hermione. They were Hermione's guardians and they were required to be there when she shopped for the materials in Diagon Alley. Muggle born students parents can accompany them when they go for back to school shopping.
Whenever a Muggle-born whose parents aren't aware of the Magic world is offered a place at Hogwarts the acceptance letter is delivered in person by someone representing Hogwarts. One can assume that this is normally done by someone slightly more well-adapted to the Muggle society than Hagrid.
Yes, although we haven't met any in the seven Harry Potter novels. The Pottermore introduction to Slytherin says: […] we have traditionally tended to take students who come from long lines of witches and wizards, but nowadays you'll find plenty of people in Slytherin house who have at least one Muggle parent.
If a Muggle were to look at Hogwarts, for example, all they would see is a ruin with signs telling them to keep out. Some magical locations are sequestered entirely from the Muggle world – with Diagon Alley, in particular, being accessible through a number of gateways between the two worlds.
Her real parents were Daneel and Dean Novak, Pureblooded wizards. Turns out Daneel was Tom Riddles younger sister, Daneel Riddle. Of course, the Riddles were related to Salzar Slytherin himself, and this made Hermione the living heir of Slytherin.
She made them believe that they were called Wendell and Monica Wilkins, a couple with a desire to go to Australia and live there. She did this in order to keep them safe should the Death Eaters come after them.
While Harry reflects on peoples' reaction to him, Hagrid taps the wall bricks with his umbrella; a hole appears, growing bigger and bigger, forming an archway. They enter into Diagon Alley, the wizard commerce district.
One of the wealthiest Wizarding families in Britain, the Malfoys were known for their connections to other pureblood families and their covert influence over the magical government. In contrast to the Weasleys, the Malfoys were traditionally sorted into Slytherin and supported pureblood supremacy.
How are you supposed to buy lacewing flies and broomsticks? Rowling explained on Twitter that non-wizarding folk could just go to Gringotts, the wizarding bank in London's Diagon Alley. They change muggle money to wizard money. It makes sense, and Rowling hinted at this before.
Harry lands in Knockturn Alley in Chamber of Secrets, when accidentally saying (in the film version) "Diagonally" instead of Diagon Alley while using Floo Powder to get to Diagon Alley.
Weaknesses. After Hagrid was accused of opening the Chamber of Secrets, he was expelled and forbidden to do magic. His wand was also confiscated and snapped in half (the pieces were later reassembled and hidden in a pink umbrella, which never seems to be far from Hagrid).
As an unqualified wizard who didn't finish his education, Hagrid was not technically allowed to perform magic.
The reason for this is that the Leaky Cauldron, the entrance to Diagon Alley from London, is invisible to the non-magical eye.
After Voldemort's death, Hermione is able to lift the spell on her parents.
Bill is viciously mauled by the werewolf, Fenrir Greyback. Fortunately, as Fenrir was not transformed at the time, Bill did not become a werewolf, though Madam Pomfrey is unable to completely heal his face, and he remains permanently scarred.
Hermione also knew that her parents, and anyone else she associated with, would be in serious danger because of her friendship with Harry. And so, she chose to erase herself from her parents' minds. Hermione wanted to keep her parents safe from Voldemort by ensuring he had no reason to come knocking.
In the Chamber itself, we see a large statue of a wizard, which Harry presumes is Salazar Slytherin. We also meet Tom Riddle, who is, as it turns out, the heir of Slytherin. Present only in spirit, he has all the same been controlling Ginny, and having her act as Slytherin's heir.
And this is why Hermione does not fit into Ravenclaw, since she lacks their creativity of thought. When you also add in her fearlessness and her strong convictions about right and wrong, which are inherently Gryffindor traits, then there was even less of a chance she'd end up wearing blue and bronze.
He is cunning
Slytherins are a cunning lot, and there are all kinds of examples of Albus Potter using his wiles to come up with schemes and plans worthy of any member of Salazar's house throughout Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.
A Muggle gaining one wouldn't just effectively have a stick in their hand but could produce an uncontrollable magical effect. Muggles can't necessarily perform magic, but with a wand, they could cause some to manifest in an uncontrollable manner.
It wouldn't work. Wands are means to channel the magic that is inherent to a person, or more specifically a witch or a wizard. Muggles, have no inherent magic and therefore can't channel it, in any possible way.
Voldemort's obsession with blood purity signifies his aim to rid the wizarding world of Muggle (non-magical) heritage and to conquer both worlds, Muggle and wizarding, to achieve pure-blood dominance.
Fleamont Potter died of dragon pox and his fortune was left to his son, James Potter. From there, the family fortune was bequeathed to Harry, after James and Lily Potter were killed.
