Unless otherwise instructed, we suggest cleaning with warm water and a soft cloth (terry cloth). You may also use conventional, non-abrasive glass cleaners together with a soft cloth.
The Best Tempered Glass Cleaners
Dish soap is uniquely tough enough to cut through even serious grease and grime while gentle enough for cleaning tempered glass without risk of damage. A second option is a 50-50 solution of rubbing alcohol and water.
Use chemicals like ammonia and alcohol with caution. For a stubborn area or hard water stains, use elbow grease and soak with the dish soap mixture rather than reaching for a harsher chemical. Avoid using paper towels or abrasive cloths on tempered glass.
For routine cleaning, use a conventional window washing solution or mild soap and water. Uniformly spray the cleaning solution or apply it with a clean, soft, grit free applicator and rinse thoroughly. The glass surface should then be either wiped dry with a clean, grit free cloth or squeezed dry.
Use gentle cleansers when cleaning your windows
Stick to glass cleaners as they work very well on window film. Skip the harsher cleansers as those tend to ruin window film. Here is one we like! You can also use liquid dish soap diluted in warm water as another option.
First, wash the film with either plain water or your chosen cleaning solution. Use the microfiber cloth to gently wash away dirt and debris. Always wipe the film with a damp cloth, as the friction from a dry cloth could cause damage. Next, rinse the film thoroughly with water.
