Be Funny and Relatable
In terms of content, there's no one single type that's guaranteed to go viral. But if you want to raise those odds, being funny and relatable in your posts can definitely help. Humor—especially dark humor—goes a long way in TikTok.
How does content go viral on TikTok? Like any social media algorithm, TikTok curates content for its users by recommending videos similar to the ones they've already engaged with.
Videos that get between 1000–3000 views mean you have a mid-tier account. Videos that get 10,000+ views mean you have a “head” account. Viewing completion. This is one of the most important factors.
If your video reaches one million views, it is considered medium viral (which will certainly earn you a healthy flow of new followers while boosting your status on the platform). And, if you get five million views within a three to seven-day period—you will officially become a viral TikTok sensation.
Generally, posts with 100,000+ likes or views and 1,000+ comments are considered to be viral. However, the term 'viral' is subjective and can mean different things to different brands. For example, you might consider a post to go viral if it crosses 10,000 views.
Going viral may take a few days. It's totally up to you. TikTok's algorithm is based on your target audience. If your audience is watching a video, then TikTok will believe that your audience wants to see more videos similar to this one.
Some users believe using #fyp or #ForYou will get their content pushed out to the masses, but it's only a rumor. TikTok has never confirmed this, and these hashtags don't guarantee you any viral success. You don't want to use those hashtags as a crutch and miss out on using keywords relevant to your content and niche.
How often you post can also affect how your content is distributed on the platform (TikTok recommends posting 1-4 times per day). To find a posting schedule that will please both the TikTok algorithm and your fans, keep a close eye on your performance until you find a frequency that works.
Liking your own videos probably will not work. At the end of the day, people like content because they enjoy it, and that is not going to change if you artificially inflate the number of likes you have.
Unsurprisingly the most used hashtag on TikTok is #tiktok. This is followed by two other TikTok-specific hashtags: #foryoupage and #fyp. Just as the two hashtags connected to TikTok's For You page are made by people hoping for TikTok success, #viral is also used in an attempt to boost a video's performance.
Three to four hashtags for a video are recommended.
These should be a mix of those that are trending and those that describe your content as specifically as possible. Finally, users can easily follow their favorite hashtags on TikTok. You might even end up on your brand's profile and hit the follow button.
If you are getting zero or low views on your TikTok videos, it can come down to several reasons: New accounts do not get views immediately. Research popular trends and create a consistent posting schedule to get your initial views.
? How many views in an hour on TikTok is good? Viral videos must get at least 500 full views in half an hour, if not more. A single view, according to TikTok, is when visitors watch the video without skipping or leaving. However, if the viewer loops the video, each loop counts as one view.
To start making money on TikTok:
You must have a minimum of 10,000 followers. Your videos must have 100,000 video views in the past 30 days. Your account must adhere to the TikTok Community Guidelines and terms of service.
A video goes viral by quickly amassing millions of views due to social media users sharing it with their friends and/or followers. And the more people share, the higher the number of views.
