Do you wonder why are the chicken nuggets getting soggy? Well, the good news is that there is a very simple trick to keep chicken nuggets from getting soggy. The trick is – put a paper towel under the chicken nuggets when you microwave them!
- Heat on HIGH: - 5 nuggets for 1 to 1 1/2 minutes, - 10 nuggets for 2 to 2 1/2 minutes, - 15 nuggets for 2 1/2 to 3 minutes.
The first thing we need to do is to prepare chicken nuggets in a way that they stay dry. It's very easy – just put them on a paper towel before you microwave them. The paper towel will absorb all excess moisture, so it will keep chicken nuggets from getting soggy.
Arrange the frozen chicken nuggets so that they are spread out as far as possible on a microwave safe plate and vary the cooking time according to this chart: 5 nuggets – 1-2 minutes. 10 nuggets – 2-3 minutes. 15 nuggets – 3- 3.5 minutes.
If your chicken nuggets are soggy, it's likely because the air fryer basket was overcrowded or the nuggets need to continue cooking. Try removing some of the nuggets so the hot air can better circulate. Additionally, continue cooking for another 5 minutes to crisp up the exterior of the nuggets.
To keep foods like sandwiches, french fries, bread rolls, etc. from getting soggy when heating in your microwave, you should wrap them in a dry paper towel to absorb the moisture when they are being heated (see costs and reviews of paper towels).
Reheat: Warm your chicken nuggets in the microwave on medium-high for 45 to 90 seconds for soft nuggets. If you want them crispy, reheat them in the air fryer for one to two minutes at 400 degrees F.

When frozen solid, you can transfer them into a ziplock freezer bag, making sure to remove as much air as possible from the bag. An air fryer is a fantastic appliance for cooking food rapidly while browning and crisping it up, too.
To reheat McDonalds nuggets in the microwave, put them on a microwave-safe plate and cook for 30 seconds. Let the nuggets sit for 30 seconds to firm up and check on them. If they are not warmed to your liking, continue to microwave, checking in 30 second intervals until they are done.

You must be particularly vigilant when defrosting in the microwave, as leaving it in there for too long, or on the wrong setting, can make the chicken unsafe to eat. Place the chicken on a microwavable plate (one or two pieces at a time) and use the defrost setting for one minute at a time.
