There are some more rare ones too like Dumbo, Hyacinth Hippo and Mademoiselle Upanova, the Tomorrowland Space Couple, and Mr. Morrow from Flight to the Moon. But the one that made our jaws drop was the character appearances that will be made by MOTHER AND FATHER from Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress.
The easiest way to find character meet-and-greets is to fire up your theme park app. Walt Disney World's My Disney Experience and the Disneyland app are invaluable resources for character hunters, offering up-to-the-minute information on where and when characters will be greeting guests and, depending on the meet-and- ...

Meeting Disney World Characters — The Basics
For the most part, Disney World doesn't have “roaming” characters. While that still happens with major characters and some frequency in Disneyland (in California), Disney World's characters tend to greet in fixed spots with lines for published periods of time.
Characters happily sign autographs and pose for pictures for absolutely no charge at meet and greets throughout the parks.
Most characters at Disney can sign autographs, but not all. Here's a list of characters you will normally find at Disney, including at character meals, and if they can sign autographs. This list will be updated when characters change at either park.
I'm very happy to report that you're more than welcome to use your smartphone or personal camera to take pictures with the characters at the Walt Disney World Resort. In fact, I do it all the time!
Characters at Disney World add the extra magic as you can see those incredible characters from screen in the flesh! Guests also can take pictures, give a quick hug or even an autograph from all of your favorite Disney characters at Disney World.
We saw some characters doing them and some meet and greets were giving out stickers instead. You can certainly plan to get autographs but just know it may not happen with each character. Read More: See how Disney character meet and greets differ from those at Universal Studios in our WDW vs.
You can meet Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy, and Donald. If you prefer to meet the characters in the parks, you can wait in the standby line. You can use the My Disney Experience app and the "Tip Board" within Disney Genie to see the characters available to conduct meet and greets and the length of the standby line.
As you might expect, Magic Kingdom—the castle park—has the most princess greetings by a wide margin, with around 15. Epcot's World Showcase (“the countries”) also has several greetings since the princesses are from some of those countries. There are about 10 princesses to meet in that park.
Dumbo. As the least vocal main character in Disney's entire film library (Dumbo never speaks in the film named for him!), you'd think this pachyderm would at least get more of a chance to shine in the Disney parks.
Ultimately, Mickey Mouse will still be a legally protected Disney product. The strong association between Disney and Mickey Mouse, one that the company itself has invested in, represents a strong protection for Disney as the trademark will not expire any time soon, giving Disney control over Mickey Mouse.
Don't just go in for a hug immediately. If they put their arms out, yes, of course, but if you're an older adult and you want a hug, it's nice to just ask.
It's wonderful that even when meeting a character, Cast Members are happy to take your phone or camera and snap a photo for you! Disney resorts are simply amazing. Unfortunately, PhotoPass Cast Members are at a few of the resorts but not at all of them.
Here is a breakdown of the new pricing details: Disney Character Hugs are $10 each. Autographs are $5 per autograph (limit 2)
We typically suggest you use retractable Sharpies for autographs because they are permanent, won't fade, and there's no lid to keep track of. BUT – only use them if they won't bleed through whatever you are using for autographs!
To utilise Disney characters without violating their rights, you must obtain permission from The Walt Disney Company or its subsidiaries. Its characters are protected by copyright and trademark laws, and unauthorised use can lead to legal consequences.
The price of an autograph ranges, generally, from about $30 to about $80 with most in the $30 to $60 range. Some will be more, sometimes substantially more. Some celebrities may allow the fan to take a picture, using the fans camera, of the celebrity signing the particular item the fan is purchasing.
The decision to ban selfies at Disney World stems from great safety concerns. As we have noted before, safety is Disney's number two priority, behind profit. Despite this, there has been a rise in injuries at Disney World. This includes the man who lost his hands on Space Mountain.
Yes, Disney Cast Members will also take your picture with your camera. As a courtesy to the other Guests waiting, be sure to have your camera ready to go when it's your turn. Happy planning and have a Magical vacation!
