TI-Nspire CX II handhelds perform calculations in one of three modes: Numeric, Exact Arithmetic, or Computer Algebra System (CAS). Numeric mode supports results in terms of floating point numbers, integers, and stacked fractions only.
The TI-Nspire CX II and TI-Nspire CX II CAS are not the cheapest graphing calculators available today, but they are well worth the price, and I highly recommend them.
The TI-Nspire CX II/CX II CAS calculator can last up to one week on a single charge. Length of charge varies by usage, so if you use your graphing calculator regularly, consider recharging the battery often. Avoid waiting until it is fully discharged.
1) Ensure the handheld is turned off Press /cM keys. 2) Press and hold down d and c keys simultaneously until Press-to-Test screen is displayed. 3) Select Reset Press-to-Test and then OK. 1) Connect the handheld to another TI-Nspire™ handheld using the USB unit-to-unit cable.
1. Select the page you want to delete. 2. Click Edit > Delete.
CAS stands for "Computer Algebra System" and it is software that allows the manipulation of mathematical expressions in symbolic form. The principal difference between a calculator with CAS and one without CAS is the ability to deal with equations symbolically rather than numerically.
Solving for some equations on TI-89 family, Voyage 200, or TI-Nspire Family CAS handheld (includes: TI-Nspire CAS with ClickPad or TouchPad and TI-Nspire CX CAS) will sometimes return an answer of "false." This is caused by the equation having a non-real solution.
The TI-Nspire™ CX CAS graphing calculator provides algebraic capability to symbolically solve equations, factor and expand variable expressions, complete the square, find antiderivatives, computer limits and exact solutions in irrational forms, making it a robust hands-learning tool that satisfies math and science ...
From the Home screen of your TI‑Nspire™ handheld, select 5:Settings > 5:Login. From a screen other than the Home screen, press ~ > 8:Login. The last network the wireless client was associated with appears on the handheld screen.
Clear: The C button erases the last number or operation entered, use it if the last number you entered was a mistake.
Factory defaults are reset. Mem Cleared is displayed on the screen to confirm all non-system variables and programs have been deleted. Use this method when exams require clearing all calculator memory. Clearing all memory deletes all programs and deletes all calculator applications (apps).
More On Deleting Programs
By default programs are stored in your calculator's RAM. This means when your RAM is reset, all of your programs will be lost. Archiving programs is a way to keep programs in the calculator's permanent storage. (Click here to see our tutorial on archiving programs).
