Moreover, God builds character in the circumstances of our life. He does this as we experience situations in which we are tempted to do the exact opposite of what character looks like. Character development always involves choice. When we make the right choice our character grows and we become more like Christ.
God's character is to show mercy to his creation. As we learn to be like God, we become more merciful ourselves, forgiving others just as God forgives us. This grace opens the way for us to become whole and to live in God's kingdom today. We don't have to wait until eternity to enter God's kingdom.
