Through the death and miraculous resurrection of Jesus Christ and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit in your life, God sees Jesus when he sees you. There are many reasons to praise God, both found in scripture and out of our personal experience with Him.
God sees each of us through eyes of unconditional love, and He loves everyone—it doesn't matter what they do, where they work, how much money they have, how educated they are or what they look like. We need to do the same. We need to learn to see others as God sees them.
“And He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain….” (Revelation 21:4). Ultimately, there will be a glorious day when you will feel the Hand of God gently caress your cheek, wiping away the tears you once cried.
God Sees Your Situation
Your situation has not taken Him by surprise, although it may have taken you by surprise. Being omniscient (all knowing), He sees exactly what is happening to you every second of the day—good and bad. Your situation—your very life—is always before his eyes.
Whenever God shows up, things always get better. ONE of the powerful revelations of God in the scripture is that JEHOVAH GOD ALWAYS SHOWS UP on behalf of His people. Whenever God shows up, things always get better. Things can never go bad or worse, when God shows up.
We must intentionally put our focus on Jesus and embrace our uniqueness and all that God has given us. He chooses to see us as right and justified because we are in His Son and we believe. He is so much greater than our flaws, struggles, and our past.
Does God see me and my pain? The answer is certainly yes (see Deuteronomy 31:6 and Matthew 28:20).
He hears our cries of unhappiness, pain, frustration, exhaustion, and fear. We can be honest with Him. His listening ear is always open to our prayers. His loving heart wants to embrace us as we cry on His shoulder.
It is at this point in the text that God corners Samuel and tells him that he has mourned long enough and it is time for him to “stop crying over spilled milk”!
He speaks through scriptures, impressions, dreams and angels. On matters universally relevant, He speaks through His living prophet. Occasionally Christ physically appears on earth and speaks. We hear God's words according to our faithfulness, to help with our personal needs.
Scripture clearly indicates that God does view sin differently and that He proscribed a different punishment for sin depending upon its severity. While God does see sin differently we now have Jesus to forgive us of our sin.
We can see God's love in the blessings He gives us. From the beauty of the world to the people in our lives, God is constantly giving us gifts large and small because He loves us. We often experience God's love through our interactions with other people.
1 Peter 3:3-4
“Your beauty should not come from outward adornments, such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes. Instead, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight.”
Reflect on God's shaping work in your life
It grows from your past and all God has done to shape you. Vision is revealed as you let your life speak. As you “listen” to your life and what God is saying to you through it, the Holy Spirit will show you what you need to see and understand.
You are valuable because of who you are.
You are made in God's image, according to His likeness (Genesis 1:26). A long time ago, even before God created you and before He created this universe, you were the focus of His love.
On the one hand, the cross arises from the absence of God. At the climax of Jesus' crucifixion, he cries out, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” (Mt 27:46; cf.
Through the scriptures, we are taught that God will always hear our prayers and will answer them if we address Him with faith and real intent. In our hearts we will feel the confirmation that He does hear us, a feeling of peace and calm. We can also feel that everything will be fine when we follow the Father's will.
Crying to God is not childish. It is a proof of our trust and utter dependence on God, Who is able to assuage our predicament. When hope is hopeless and there is no one to help, CRYING IN FAITH to God is consequential. Psalm 34:6 “THIS POOR MAN CRIED, and the LORD heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.”
If we truly are comforted by God in our pain, we likely will never forget it. That is why suffering is a gift. Not the suffering itself, but the turning to God in suffering, because that is where we encounter him. The greater the pain, the closer God comes.
To Do Justice
The first thing God desires of His people, is that they do justice. Not merely appreciate justice, not simply assent that justice is good, but we are to do justice. Our actions reflect our beliefs.
- Simplify life by focusing on God's priorities. - Appreciate God's Word and apply it to everyday situations. - Respond to circumstances with confidence by seeing yourself through God's loving eyes. - Increase closeness in marriage by serving and honoring each other.
As Jesus' disciples returned and wondered what was happening, Jesus said, "Open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest." In other words, there were many people ready to receive eternal life. The Samaritan woman sowed seeds of testimony that produced a harvest in her town.
