In Isaiah 43:4, it says, “Since you are precious and honored in my sight and because I love you, I will give people in exchange for you, nations in exchange for your life.” In God's eyes, we are precious and honored. He loves us so much that he would exchange nations for our life.
God sees each of us through eyes of unconditional love, and He loves everyone—it doesn't matter what they do, where they work, how much money they have, how educated they are or what they look like. We need to do the same. We need to learn to see others as God sees them.
Through the death and miraculous resurrection of Jesus Christ and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit in your life, God sees Jesus when he sees you. There are many reasons to praise God, both found in scripture and out of our personal experience with Him.
We must intentionally put our focus on Jesus and embrace our uniqueness and all that God has given us. He chooses to see us as right and justified because we are in His Son and we believe. He is so much greater than our flaws, struggles, and our past.
As a daughter of God, you are redeemed and freed from guilt. The word redemption means that Jesus ransomed you, or paid the price, so that you could be released from death's prison. Redemption means that you have crossed from death to life. You were once under the law's curse but are now a citizen of heaven.
Therefore, when God looks at you today, He doesn't judge, esteem, and measure you according to your imperfections. He sees you in the Beloved—He sees you in Christ, and He sees the blood that has been shed for you by His dear Son. When God looks at you today, He sees Jesus.
He sees you as redeemed: a new creation that has been made whole. You do not have to define yourself in light of your past mistakes. God does not do that. You can walk in the identity of someone who is made new in Christ.
You are valuable because of who you are.
You are made in God's image, according to His likeness (Genesis 1:26). A long time ago, even before God created you and before He created this universe, you were the focus of His love.
Ask him to show you himself even if you're unsure he's there. Prayer is simply talking honestly with God from your heart. Tell him you're looking for him. As you search, tell him your questions, thoughts, doubts, fears, and hopes.
He gives us all we need for every good work, Ephesians 6.10-12. He provides escape from temptation, 1 Corinthians 10.13. And, He provides us with the necessary discipline in order to bring correction to our spiritual life, Hebrews 12.6-11. God provides us with His constant love and care.
Are you not of more value than they? (Matthew 6:25-34). Rejoice, dear believer, God sees you! He sees exactly what you're going through, because, to quote Hagar, “You are [El Roi] a God of seeing. Truly, here I have seen Him who looks after me” (Genesis 16:13).
The Eye of Providence (or the All-Seeing Eye of God) is a figure that depicts an eye, often enclosed in a triangle and surrounded by rays of light or glory, meant to represent divine providence whereby the eye of God watches over humanity.
The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. But if anyone does not have them, he is nearsighted and blind, and has forgotten that he has been cleansed from his past sins.
You are loved
In God, you have a close friend who knows you and understands you better than anyone. He sees your heart and desire to be good; He sees your struggles and how you are drawn to things that aren't good. He is always there to listen and help when you pray to Him with a sincere and humble heart.
Ever wondered how God feels about you? Well, He guards you as the apple of His eye, He takes pleasure in you, He loves you and sings over you. God walks with you, covers you with His favor, blesses you, and will never abandon you.
Grace is God's free and priceless gift.
He prays: “Give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with the food that is needful for me, lest I be full and deny you and say, 'Who is the LORD? ' or lest I be poor and steal and profane the name of my God” (Proverbs 30:8-9).
This is His gift to us, and it's not our option to enjoy it. Scripture says that it is our “heritage” to “enjoy the good of all [our] labor”! God gives us these blessings to faithfully manage, and that means we should always be wise stewards. It means we should always be giving.
- Simplify life by focusing on God's priorities. - Appreciate God's Word and apply it to everyday situations. - Respond to circumstances with confidence by seeing yourself through God's loving eyes. - Increase closeness in marriage by serving and honoring each other.
Without our eyes opened, God's Word can seem like a legalistic code to measure how others—and we—fail to live righteously. With our eyes opened, we see in God's Word the living God who graciously reveals himself to us. We learn how to live the way God intends for us.
In her 2018 book What Did Jesus Look Like?, Taylor used archaeological remains, historical texts and ancient Egyptian funerary art to conclude that, like most people in Judea and Egypt around the time, Jesus most likely had brown eyes, dark brown to black hair and olive-brown skin. He may have stood about 5-ft.-5-in.
God looks like nothing we could comprehend
For example, John 4:24 says God is a spirit, and as Exodus 33:20 points out, “You cannot see my face, for no one may see me and live.” “As sinful human beings, we are incapable of seeing God in all his glory,” according to Got Questions.
“The Lord does not see as mortals see; they look on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.”
I am complete in Him Who is the head over all rule and authority—of every angelic and earthly power (Colossians 2:10). I am alive with Christ (Ephesians 2:5). I am free from the law of sin and death (Romans 8:2). I am far from oppression, and will not live in fear (Isaiah 54:14).
