It is explained that Credence is the illegitimate son of Albus's younger brother, Aberforth (Richard Coyle). His real name is Aurelius Dumbledore. Aberforth's wife was murdered, and Aurelius was raised under the name Credance as an orphan.
There were plenty of unanswered questions about the Dumbledore family at the end of the previous "Fantastic Beasts" film, "The Crimes of Grindelwald." After Grindelwald told Credence Barebone that he was Aurelius Dumbledore, the brother of Albus Dumbledore, fans were left confused as a result of the sudden reveal.
Grindelwald also apparently lies to Credence at the end of The Crimes of Grindelwald by implying that Dumbledore wants him dead (“Your brother is trying to kill you”) — an obvious lie on Grindelwald's part, since as far as we know, Dumbledore doesn't even know who Credence is.
It's stated that Credence was born in 1901. That would tie in with Leta Lestrange being around the age of 6 or 7 when she swapped the babies and made him about 26 years old during the events of Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald.
Credence Isn't Voldemort's Dad But He Could Be Snape's Grandpa. Before Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them came out, it seemed like the story's only real Potter connection would be Newt Scamander's relation to Luna Lovegood and a Dumbledore name-drop.
Credence confirms to Grindelwald that he switched sides at the end of Fantastic Beasts 3 and that he's been communicating with his father, Aberforth Dumbledore, via a mirror.
One particularly popular theory is that Credence is really Tom Riddle Sr., Voldemort's father. However, given Voldemort's British origins, Tom Riddle's Muggle status, as well as the timeline of his birth — in December of 1926 — it seems extremely unlikely that Credence is actually Tom Riddle Sr.
Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore confirmed that Credence Barebone/Aurelius Dumbledore (Ezra Miller) is the new Snape (Alan Rickman) through a very familiar line delivered by Aberforth Dumbledore (Richard Coyle). Fantastic Beasts 3 finally shed light on the Credence being Aurelius Dumbledore plot twist.
Once there, Grindelwald reveals Credence's true identity to him: He is Aurelius Dumbledore, Albus Dumbledore's brother. Now, here's where things get a bit tricky. As we know from the Harry Potter series, Dumbledore had two younger siblings who were known to the public, his brother Aberforth and sister Ariana.
He's Luna Lovegood's grandfather-in-law
Luna Lovegood ends up marrying Rolf Scamander, who is Newt's grandson.
Grindelwald had claimed the phoenix's presence around Credence proved he was a Dumbledore, but it seems he was telling a half-truth, because in reality the phoenix kept returning to Credence because they are drawn to provide strength and comfort for those who are dying.
His mother is killed, and as a result Aberforth is unable to care for his son. Credence is taken to America and put up for adoption, a fact known to no one but Leta Lestrange (Zoe Kravitz).
Losing Aurelius would be too painful for Aberforth to bring him up ever again, and Albus has been known to discuss very few personal matters with the Harry Potter characters. It thus makes sense that Credence is never mentioned in Harry Potter: he is the Dumbledores' guilty secret.
Dumbledore and Grindelwald only spent about two months together, but the two canonically became lovers in that time. Their relationship was passionate and intense, and each wizard helped shape the philosophies of the other.
Nagini and Credence develop a close bond after he joins the Circus Arcanus. Warner Bros. "Nagini was always once a woman in her mind, which is so deeply disturbing," Ezra Miller, who portrays Nagini's best friend Credence Barebone, added in the clip.
Harry is the Heir of Gryffindor, as is his great-grandfather Albus Dumbledore.
Credence Barebone (born Aurelius Dumbledore, c. spring 1900) was an English-born American half-blood wizard who lived during the 20th century. He was the son of Aberforth Dumbledore and an unnamed woman. One year after his birth, he unexpectedly was taken to America with his Aunt.
So the suggestion is that Credence Barebone and Nagini will turn out to be Snape's grandparents. This is certainly not the first time that Nagini has been theorized to be related to someone in Harry Potter, and it is definitely not the first time it has been suggested that Credence and Nagini will become an item.
After the phoenix chick exploded into an adult in The Crimes of Grindelwald, the magical creature stuck with Credence, following him where he went. The phoenix's presence is how Dumbledore realized Credence was, in fact, a member of his family. Crucially, Credence was the son of Aberforth Dumbledore, Albus' brother.
They are from different families. Though Queenie might be related to Anthony Goldstein. Yeah, there are some similarities between them like they both were half blood and what u said but they are not related in any way. Also, Queenie was a naturally born legillimen while Snape had acquired that skill.
It turns out that ship was the Titanic
According to the Crimes of Grindelwald screenplay (and reliable parts of the timeline), Leta and Credence were on the same sunken ship in 1901.
Born as Bellatrix Black, Bellatrix married into the Lestrange family, meaning she and Leta aren't related by blood. That makes Leta related to Bellatrix's husband, Rodolphus Lestrange, although that connection is no easier to find.
Many Harry Potter fans might also wonder how Tom Riddle avoided becoming an Obscurial, and the answer is that he was also protected by muggle ignorance. Tom was highly aware that he was magical, but he enjoyed the power he emanated, and he used it as a way of scaring people away from him.
