Thanos was born on Saturn's moon Titan as the son of Eternals A'lars and Sui-San, the grandson of Kronos, the nephew of Zuras, and the grandnephew of Oceanus and Uranos. His brother is Eros of Titan. Thanos carries the Deviants gene, and as such, shares the physical appearance of the Eternals' cousin race.
He was born among the last sons of Titan's original colonists: Mentor and Sui-San. His mother, shocked to see such an ugly baby, and sensing his potential for evil, tried to kill Thanos at birth, although she was stopped by his father, A'Lars, AKA Mentor. Thanos later killed her for this attempt.
In the comics, Eternals aren't allowed to conceive a child. But this was proven otherwise when Thanos was born from two Eternals. As a result, he becomes host to the Deviant Gene, which alters his appearance but still technically makes him an Eternal.
Born Dione on Saturn's moon of Titan, Thanos grew up in a peace-loving family. However, he began experimenting on other Titans, which increased Thanos' obsession with death and genetic experimentation. Possessing the DNA of the Deviants and Eternals made Thanos extremely powerful and resilient.
Known Superhuman Powers: Thanos possessed incalculable superhuman power. By far the most powerful of the Titanian Eternals, Thanos was a mutant whose massive, heavy-bided body was born with the capacity to synthesize cosmic energy for certain personal uses.
Thanos didn't lift Mjolnir, Captain America did
With Mjolnir's worthiness enchantment resulted in Thor being able to lift the hammer only if he is considered to be worthy, but likewise, the enchantment is not discriminatory in nature, and anyone who is deemed worthy is able to lift the hammer.
Thanos is powerful in the MCU due to his Titan origins, his incredible intelligence, his cybernetic enhancements, and in large part, his equipment. Thanos also had centuries of combat experience before he set his sights on Infinity Stones.
Kang is stronger than Thanos, with the Conquerer being much more challenging to defeat than the Infinity Gauntlet-wielding villain.
The Power Stone was first used by Eson The Searcher until it was contained by the Orb and hidden on Morag. Thanos knew about its whereabouts and employed Ronan the Accuser to retrieve it for him.
Thanos is known for being superlatively powerful, but he's also as intelligent as they come. Thanos was educated on Titan among his fellow Eternals and learned many secrets of the universe in his travels. Iron Man is intelligent, but Thanos is smarter than Iron Man could ever be.
Gilgamesh
In terms of raw physical strength, Gilgamesh (Don Lee) is easily the strongest Eternal.

An Eternal–Deviant warlord from the moon Titan, Thanos is regarded as one of the most powerful beings in the Marvel Universe. He has clashed with many heroes including the Avengers, the Guardians of the Galaxy, the Fantastic Four, the Eternals, and the X-Men.
Thanos has another weakness: his own monstrous ego. In 1991's Infinity Gauntlet, Thanos became so powerful that he left his body to exist on another plane entirely... forgetting the Infinity Gauntlet still attached to his hand.
Hercules / Zeus
In fact, he is considered by many authorities to be the physically strongest character Marvel has ever created. According to legend, he replaced Atlas in holding the sky on his shoulders.
Thanos sets out to collect all six Stones in order to use them to wipe out half of all life in the universe, believing that his plan will save it from extinction. In 2018, Thanos accomplishes his goal and snaps his fingers while wearing the Infinity Gauntlet containing the Stones, causing the Blip.
Thor loses his eye during the earlier parts of the final battle sequence with this goddess. She casually and effortless beats him around the throne room, and then the moment happens. Hela strikes Thor across the face with her sword, literally slicing the eye from out his head right then and there. Brutal.
The Infinity Stones were six immensely powerful gem-like objects tied to different aspects of the universe, created by the Big Bang from six singularities. Only beings of immense power can directly wield the Stones, such as Celestials, and the Mad Titan Thanos.
Thanos was scared of the ancient one, Odin, and Ego. That's why Thanos didn't show up until infinity war.
While Thanos is an Eternal and has the standard powers of super-strength, agility, regeneration, immortality, and more, Adam Warlock takes the upper hand. He can be killed, but he resurrects to be stronger every time.
Galactus is one of the most iconic and powerful villains in all of Marvel, essentially created as a god-like figure to pit the heroes against. Galactus is an enemy above concepts like good and evil.
How Can Captain America Lift Thor's Hammer? Simple: Steve Rogers is worthy. The inscription on Mjolnir reads “Whosoever holds this hammer, if they be worthy, shall possess the power of Thor.” It doesn't matter how strong you are, if you aren't worthy, you can't lift Thor's hammer, no matter how hard you try.
Based on the analysis of powers, speed, strength, durability, and combat, we can safely say that Odin is stronger than Thanos and outmatches him in almost every aspect. Thanos might be among the most feared villains in the Marvel Universe, but he comes nowhere near when compared to All-Father Odin.
Thanos vs MCU Hulk
The Mad Titan was easily able to dispatch the Hulk without even using the only Infinity Stone he had available at the time: The Power Stone. The polished fighting style of Thanos proved too much for Hulk and his overall brutality and savagery.
