Lumps after thread lifting are sometimes due to the thread lifting one area of the skin and not being engaged fully. This is easily corrected or fixed if it does not resolve within one week.
In some cases, other medical treatments may be recommended to treat lumps after a thread lift. For example, laser therapy or microdermabrasion may be used to help improve the texture and appearance of the skin. In severe cases, surgery may be required to remove the lumps.
Lumps and/or bumps may temporarily occur at/or along treatment sit(s). These will resolve with time and are seldom a cause of concern 3. Asymmetry and irregularity of the tissues treated is common post treatment and usually resolves itself.
You may feel bruised over the treatment area for a few days and there may be some swelling and puckering over the skin. This is normal after such a procedure and will almost always diminish and disappear within 7-14 days.
Skin puckering or dimpling
If it is mild, it will settle on its own along with the natural movement of the skin. If your practitioner gives the green light, you can reduce the dimpling by massaging the area. This releases the catch on the thread.

After PDO threads are inserted into the skin, dimpling may form as a result of the skin healing around the threads. You might be able to observe dimples or depressions on the skin that was not originally there. This can be an occurrence in rare cases.
Not only do the threads physically lift the skin, but they also stimulate the body's natural production of collagen, meaning thread lift results will continue to improve over time.
Your results will fully develop, or settle, over the next month as the body begins to ramp up collagen production that will offer longer-term support. This means you'll see results much faster than you would after a surgical facelift, which takes two or three months to settle.
'Breakouts' after eyebrow threading are usually one of two things – irritation or folliculitis. If you develop some minor redness and a few tiny little 'bumps', this may be a simple irritant reaction. For mild irritant reactions, a soothing aloe vera gel might be all you need (wash your hands before applying it!).
Threading pulls hair out from the follicle root. When the hair is pulled out, the pore is opened. If the area is not clean, bacteria are able to enter into the pore, clogging it, and thereby causing a breakout.
Typically, it takes 4 to 6 weeks for the threads to dissolve following the smooth thread procedure.
Ice the treated area for a few minutes for four to five times during the day for the first week if you are experiencing slight bruising or swelling. Restrict facial movements for one day. Make sure to rest for a full day after getting the treatment.
The PDO threads can be dissolved used heat based therapies, such as lasers and saunas. Minimal heat therapies such as LED Light Therapy and facials are safe to still have, and are recommended to get optimal results and longevity in the results.
AVOID TOUCHING/PRESSURE/MASSAGE: Please avoid touching the area for 24 hours. Try to avoid direct pressure on your face such as sleeping “face down” for 1 week. No massage or treatment to the area for 1 month.
A PDO thread lift will offer significant results straight away, and you'll notice a tightening and lifting of the skin. However, it will take around two weeks for the collagen production to start to get going, and this is when you will see an improvement of the skin's tone, texture and overall quality.
How can you tell if a PDO thread broke? You may feel the puncture points used to insert the threads for a few weeks as they heal. There may also be a feeling of tightness from the pulling of the skin. In some cases, the threads can migrate or move.
CONS OF THE THREAD LIFT:
The thread lift is considered a minor surgery, and as such, once the skin is cut there is the risk of infection, bruising, temporary discomfort, rippling off the skin and temporary numbness.
A study published by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) confirms PDO thread lifts do work, stating thread lifts indisputably lift and shape facial soft tissues. Another study published by the NIH indicates this therapy yields around a 90 percent success rate.

The socialite admits that she often uses thread lifts and is one of the first to come forward and accept them. According to her, she considers them to be her secret for young and healthy skin. She uses them along with her traditional filler and injection treatments.
Avoid any direct pressure to the face and area where the sutures were placed for one week after the procedure (for example, sleeping face down, excessive chewing, talking, yawning, smiling and other facial movements during the week after your procedure.
The formation of tiny lumps that occur along the site of the incision is often reported by many patients. The causes of these bumps are varied and fluid retention, primarily from the lymphatic fluid, can cause these bumps.
