It might take 4-6 weeks, but the eyebrow will be back to it's normal position for sure. Sometimes, we can help the eyebrow to lift by giving Botox to the muscle that pulls it down, Orbicularis Oculii.
Brow ptosis, or eyelid drooping after Botox injections, can be a side effect of the treatment. The ptosis is almost always temporary and will go away over time. It usually takes about four weeks for ptosis to resolve and for some people, ptosis resolves sooner.
How long does eyebrow heaviness last? Rest assured, heavy eyebrows after Botox are temporary. The heavy sensation will completely go away once your Botox wears off in 3 months. But it usually becomes less noticeable after a week or two.
Fortunately, a peaked eyebrow can easily be fixed. It takes up to two weeks to see full effects of your Botox treatment, so it's important to be patient and wait at least that long before doing anything. Sometimes certain muscles or parts of muscle relax faster after a Botox treatment than others.
The feeling of heaviness in your eyebrows is because it is harder to raise your eyebrows. This happens if you only relax your frontalis with Botox. People do this because they have horizontal lines on their forehead and they either don't have frown lines or crow's feet, or these other wrinkles don't bother them.
The Frontalis is the muscle in your forehead which controls the raising of your eyebrows. After 2 weeks, if you still feel heaviness, try gentle eyebrow raising exercises and blinking your eyelids rapidly for 30 seconds. Do this 4 times daily for 2-4 days as it may help resolve the heaviness.
Heavy brows and the feeling of drooping.
This feeling and look comes from treatment of the forehead muscles called the frontalis. These muscles move the brows up and in certain cases after Botox treatment, the relaxed muscle then makes the brows drop.
The key is to balance the forces between the forehead elevators and depressors. Typically, a “Spock Brow” is due to overtreating depressors and/or undertreating elevators in the outer half of the forehead. It can be corrected by placing a small amount of Botox into the elevators in the outer forehead.
Specifically, injections on the forehead or between the eyes may spread into the eyebrows and cause the brow to lower, causing a droopy eyelid. In most cases, droopy eyelid occurs between one and three weeks after treatment, and patients typically experience this adverse effect for just a few weeks.
Actual cases of droopy upper eyelid after Botox injections are rare. Most issues of upper eyelid heaviness after Botox injections in the forehead area are due to over paralysis of the forehead muscle, causing drooping of the eyebrow. This, in turn, pushes the upper eyelid down.
Botox injections of the forehead typically involves the frontalis muscle which is responsible for raising the eyebrows. An eyebrow droop can also occur as a result of over-relaxation of the frontalis muscle, while trying to erase horizontal forehead lines and wrinkles.
Botox works by weakening muscles. If you weaken the upper forehead (frontalis) muscles, you will not get a brow lift, your brow will drop. The injector actually must weaken the muscles that pull down the brow.
Eyelid droop often happens when the person giving the treatment doesn't have proper training and enough experience. They can inject Botox into the wrong area or use a dose that's too high, which leads to muscle weakness and droop. You could have trouble fully opening your eyes or vision problems.

This occurs as a result of migration of the toxin into the muscle that raises the eyelid (levator palpebrae superioris muscle – pink in the picture). A slight miscalculation, like making the injection too low in the forehead muscle, can cause eyelid drooping after Botox.
The Spock eyebrow is an overly arched eyebrow that shows its peak out to the side of the forehead. The reason this occurs is because your doctor injected the central part of the mid to upper forehead – without injecting any Botox and Dysport along the sides of the forehead.
After the Botox is injected, the eyes can become very irritated and dry, and can go quite bloodshot and red. This irritation can then increase into blurred vision and the inability to see correctly.
If the Botox is placed too low or if it migrates down, the Botox can affect the lower part of the muscle and cause a droopy eyebrow. Sometimes when your eyebrow goes down, it can make your upper eyelid heavy too, making it look like droopy eyelids.
“If botox is placed too low or too much botox is used in the forehead, you can get flattened or heavy brow sensation.” Additionally, undesirable results from Botox may occur when muscles other the intended target are relaxed.
This is a side effect of Botox treatments, which can be caused by having an injection done too close to your eyebrows, which pushes them down and in turn, makes your eyelids droopy and puffy.
Possible side effects and unwanted results include: Pain, swelling or bruising at the injection site. Headache or flu-like symptoms. Droopy eyelids or crooked eyebrows.
The first “true” results will be noticeable within 24 to 48 hours – when you'll see a softening of wrinkles. Why does Botox need a couple days to start working?
