The recommended time before going on vacation or preparing for any big event (i.e. wedding day) is 2-3 days. This will allow any redness to pass.
If you have never waxed the area before, the closer to the big day the better because your hair has become used to other hair-removal methods such as shaving, which results in uneven growth until it adapts to the waxing cycle. If you have waxed before, two to three days before the big day is ideal.
Getting a facial, brow wax, haircut or hair color two days or closer to your wedding. You should be getting any beauty treatments like these no later than a week before your nuptials—just in case there's a mishap or funny reaction that needs fixing.
HOW MANY DAYS BEFORE I GO ON HOLIDAY SHOULD I BOOK MY WAX? To avoid any redness or swollen legs when you pop on your bikini for the first time of the year, it's a good idea to plan a wax for two or three days before you jet off on your holidays.
We recommend never waxing or exfoliating the day of or the day before your event. We suggest you get your brows done at least 4 days in advance. If you're planning on getting a facial, do so at least one week prior to.
Any shorter than an eighth-inch long will be too short to wax, so don't shave right before. Shower and rinse the area ahead of your appointment (yay, hygiene!), but don't exfoliate or apply any lotions or oils, which could impede the wax's ability to grip to the hair.
You will gain the most benefits out of waxing when you schedule your appointments 2 to 5 weeks apart. For the legs, you will need to wax every 3 to 5 weeks. For the face, bikini line, and underarms, you will need to wax every 2 to 3 weeks.
Schedule your appointment for two to three days before your vacation. When you get waxed, it is very important that you let the waxed area breathe, and refrain from physical activity. It is normal to experience some redness and swelling for the first 24 hours afterwards.
Keep the waxed area clean, and avoid heat and friction during the next 24 - 48 hours. This means: No hot baths or showers (cool to lukewarm water only). No saunas, hot tubs, massage or steam treatments.
When you wax before you leave, you won't have to worry about when or how often to shave on vacation because you'll have smooth skin for up to two weeks. Let your days laze into night wiothout rushing off to shave.
On average it's a good idea to head to the salon every two to six weeks depending on the area you're having waxed. The most important thing to keep in mind is to be consistent with your appointments. if you wait too long or go too soon, you won't be able to make the most out of your session.
Due to this difference in hair growth cycles, waxing hair when it's too short will make some of the hairs grow back within a couple of days (and in an uneven, prickly wax job), and others not for a week or two. This can turn into a never-ending cycle of mixed growth patterns, ingrown hairs, and breakouts.
We recommend a minimum of 4 weeks regrowth to get the best results. If you have removed the hair via waxing/shaving/plucking or any other way any less than 4 weeks ago, then please bear in mind that although we may still be able to carry out your wax, you are likely to get some regrowth quite soon after your treatment.
Chelse agrees: “A Brazilian wax typically lasts anywhere from three to six weeks before hair regrowth becomes noticeable. “However, the exact duration can vary from person to person due to factors such as individual hair growth rate and hormonal fluctuations.”
After Wax Information
For a Brazilian Wax please avoid all sex, especially oral sex for 24 hours. Avoid any tight clothing and anything that may constrict your freshly waxed areas. Outdoor sun exposure.
The short answer is yes. If you don't know exactly what a Brazilian wax entails, here's a quick overview: The wax technician waxes off everything, and we mean everything — from the front of your pubic area to the labia to your butt (between your butt cheeks, if we're being exact).
For at least 24 hours, you'll want to avoid saunas, tanning beds, and even the gym. Wait for Sex: Give yourself about 2 days, or 24-48 hours, to recover from the wax before engaging in any sexual activity. Keep it Loose: Avoid tight and constricting clothing for a few days after your wax.
At least 3 to 4 weeks. We need a good quarter of an inch to an inch of growth for you to be happy with your results. If the hair is too stubbly waxing over it can cause irritation and Waxologists won't be able to grab every hair.

How long will the results last? After a client's first waxing, the results can last 3 to 6 weeks depending on the individual's hair re-growth rate. In most cases, hair growth is minimal during the first week or two and noticeably increases in the third and fourth week.
Seriously, there's no such thing as being too hairy.
“A lot of clients get embarrassed about their growth if it's been a while,” Cordova says. “I'd rather wax overgrown hair than a two-week-old shave. It's easier for the specialist and less painful for you.”
Dry, rough skin can cause more hair to break during waxing. Before your treatment, and between treatments, be sure to take care of your skin. Exfoliate regularly using a gentle, non-polluting exfoliant or a loofah to keep your skin smooth, and use a hydrating lotion to prevent dry skin.
If you plan on taking a steam shower before-hand, however, wait at least 1-2 hours before you start waxing since the hot shower will open your pores and soften your skin, making it easier for your skin to get irritated or bruised.
What we advise is showering before your waxing appointment. here's why: It is hygienic for the wax technician to work on clean skin. You don't need to have a special shower; a regular one will do.
