After becoming available, you'll be able to create up to two carriers at the same time, and link them to carry more cargo.
A single floating carrier can be used with ziplines in the Director's Cut version.
Beached Things (BTs) are entities whose souls are stranded in the world of the living following the events of the Death Stranding. BTs are considered extremely dangerous and are almost invariably hostile toward living beings.
The general consensus is that it doesn't really do anything meaningful so you won't have a better or worse experience whatever date you pick.
A Bridge Baby, abbreviated as BB, is an unborn fetus that has been taken from a stillmother to be used as equipment by Bridges operatives, and some separatist groups, granting them the ability to sense and detect the Beached Things.
Your cargo — specifically things that you were carrying as part of a standard order — will become lost if it falls off of your back, and you get too far away from it. (The distance seems to be about a half of a kilometer or so.) Lost cargo will disappear from your world and appear in someone else's.
The worlds of the living and of the dead have collided, and the only way for people to successfully avoid ghosts – aka Beached Things, or BTs – is to strap a prenatal fetus to their chest which then detects the BTs through a device known as an Odradek Scanner.
Reverse Trike: Transporter
Eight large pieces of cargo (16 pieces of medium cargo, or 32 pieces of small cargo) can be loaded onto the cargo shelf with space for more on the side of the trike itself. The trike is capable of boosts, wheelies, and jumps, all of which can be used to traverse difficult terrain.

You can now fast travel to any other safe house, each of which comes with a Private Room, across the map. However, there's a catch. If you do want to fast travel, every bit of cargo and equipment you're carrying at the time will be left behind in that safe house's Private Locker.

Once Sam dies, he enters the Seam and will have to find his body to return to life. However, providing Sam gets eaten by a giant BT, which can be summoned by getting dragged off by a BT in the world, he can cause a Voidout.
Doing so will still earn you some likes based on the distance you brought the cargo relative to where you found it, but you won't receive the full amount you would have if you delivered it to where its final destination. .
Delivery Time is tied to time-sensitive orders. It's very clear what these orders are when they're available, and they'll have a countdown clock on your HUD when you're carrying the cargo. Delivering these orders under the time limit will increase this rating.
On the Beach, Sam was healed and brought back to life by Amelie, who bestowed to him the ability of repatriation. No longer viable as a bridge baby by virtue of being a repatriate, he was taken into Bridget's care and raised as her son, Sam Strand.
The altered geography of Death Stranding's America is a result of the Timefall, and synchs well with the game's themes, while the smaller map size, of course, is simply a necessary compromise to making it a playable game.
Her death caused a voidout in the satellite town of UCA-01-0C, leaving Sam, a repatriate, as the sole survivor in the area and the primary suspect of the incident.
