Challenging for his bloodright, Killmonger murdered Zuri and seemingly killed T'Challa during their ritual combat and claimed the throne, becoming Black Panther, ensuring he would be the last of the lineage by burning the ancient Heart-Shaped Herbs.
Black Panther defeated Killmonger. The Mandarin recalled his ring and Killmonger reverted to an inanimate skeleton. Killmonger's followers resurrected him again and he would clash with T'Challa on several other occasions.
Portrayed by. Linda was a criminal associate and lover of Erik Killmonger who, along with Killmonger, allied with Ulysses Klaue and Limbani. However, she was shot and killed by Killmonger when he betrayed Klaue.
Shuri didn't interact with Killmonger much in Black Panther, but the two cousins have a shared anger over the loss of their family — Killmonger was left orphaned after his father N'Jobu (Sterling K. Brown) was shot by young T'Chaka, and Killmonger was subsequently abandoned.

In Black Panther, Killmonger explained that every single scar on his body signifies a kill. It represents the amount of arduous training he went through, solely to claim Wakanda while calling out King T'Chaka's act of killing.
Killmonger is one of two versions of Erik Killmonger to be Near Pure Evil, alongside his Prince Killmonger counterpart. Coincidentally, Erik Killmonger and T'Challa are both Near Pure Evil and Pure Good and both possess an alternate counterpart who are Near Pure Evil and Pure Good respectively.

Linda Johnson is a supporting antagonist in the 2018 Marvel film Black Panther. She is a former black-ops operative turned criminal who is the lover of Erik Killmonger until he betrayed and killed her. Named Tilda Johnson in the original cut of the film, she was portrayed by Nabiyah Be.
In the first movie, Killmonger (Michael B. Jordan) destroyed the rest of the heart-shaped herb after ingesting it himself and killing T'Challa (Chadwick Boseman), hoping to prevent anyone from gaining the powers of the Black Panther and defeating him.

Another Infinity Warps Black Panther variant emerged in Secret Warps: Iron Hammer #1. This variant piled on the power by combining T'Challa Odinson, who already possessed Asgardian might, with Ghost Rider. He became Ghost Hammer, fusing mystical power with god-like strength.
