One way that you can pump more milk is to try to get second or third letdowns during your pumping sessions. How many letdowns you should aim for depends on the length of your sessions – if you're pumping for 20 minutes, many women are able to get two; if you're pumping for 30, you might be able to get three.

Although inconvenient, leaking breasts are a sign you are lactating properly. Try to breastfeed or pump regularly and not skip feedings or pumping sessions. By frequently expressing milk, you may be able to limit how often or how much your breasts leak.
Why it happens: If your breasts feel full but you're not getting much milk when you pump, you may be struggling with your let-down reflex. As nifty as your pump is, there's no comparing it to the smell and feel of your sweet baby in your arms.
