Family Tax Benefit Part A pays a maximum of $191.24 per fortnight for children up to 12, and $248.78 per fortnight for children up to 19, if they are eligible.
For the 2021-22 financial year, it's a payment of up to $788.40 for each eligible child. For the 2022-23 financial year, it's a payment of up to $817.60 for each eligible child.
The Age Pension, Disability Support Pension and Carer Payment rates will increase by $20.10 to $987.60 a fortnight for a single person and by $30.20 to $1,488.80 a fortnight for a couple. The federal government is also increasing the asset test to allow more people access to a part pension.
If you start work
If you've been on weekly payments since before December 2012, once you start working you can't get weekly payments. We change your payments back to fortnightly. This means, instead of getting half of your payment when you start work, you'll get all of it.
The COVID-19 Disaster Payment is a one-off cash payment for a lockdown lasting at least seven days and each period of lockdown thereafter. Those who are missing out on less than 20 hours of work can receive $325. If they've lost more than 20 hours of work over the lockdown period, they're eligible for a $500 payment.
If you get Youth Allowance as a job seeker you can earn money and still get your payment. We'll start to reduce your payment if your income is more than $150 a fortnight. Your payment will reduce by 50 cents for each dollar of income you have between $150 and $250.
To get the $250 one-off Cost of Living Payment you must be a Centrelink or Department of Veterans'Affairs customer. You must have been residing in Australia on 29 March 2022 and either: you were able to claim, or were getting an eligible payment. you were able to get, or had an eligible concession card.
When you claim a Pension Bonus, generally you must be an Australian resident and in Australia. You must work at least 960 hours during each 12 month period to pass the work test. We call this a bonus period. Only accruing membership can count toward your Pension Bonus.
From 1 December 2022 to 31 December 2023, the maximum Work Bonus balance limit increases from $7,800 to $11,800. This will reset to $7,800 on 1 January 2024. You'll also get a one-off increase of $4,000 to your Work Bonus balance during this period. Each payment has different rules.
For a first child (excluding stillbirth), you will be eligible for the $5,000 payment. For any subsequent children, you will receive the $3,000 baby bonus. If you have twins or more, you will be able to claim $5,000 for each child even if you have other children.

$915.40 includes Parenting Payment and a pension supplement of $26.20. If you're eligible for Parenting Payment you will also get Energy Supplement. You may also get Rent Assistance. You don't need to submit a claim for Rent Assistance.

So today, automatically, there's an extra $4,000 credited. "It means that pensioners over the next 12 months will be able to do extra work without having their pension affected." The increased Work Bonus income bank will be in place until December 31, 2023 and is available to pensioners over the age pension age.
What is the Christmas Bonus? The Christmas Bonus is an extra payment for people getting a long-term social welfare payment, including Illness Benefit for 12 months or more. In 2022, the Christmas Bonus was 100% of your normal weekly long-term social welfare payment (the minimum payment is €20).

Full time work is an average of 30 hours a week. You may not work 30 hours every week. If this is the case, you can average your work hours over a period of up to 13 weeks.
