According to the accounts of Septon Eustace, prior to her turning sixteen, Rhaenyra lost her virginity to her uncle, Prince Daemon, after he seduced her.
We last saw her find out the truth in "We Light the Way" that Rhaenyra lost her virginity to Ser Criston Cole (Fabien Frankel).
Daemon stops himself from taking her virginity, though, fleeing the scene conflicted while leaving Rhaenyra to make her way home alone. Unfortunately, their tryst was witnessed by some little birds employed by Daemon's former paramour and current Mistress of Whisperers, Mysaria of the Bonkers Accent (Sonoya Mizuno).
The time jump in episode 6 is supposed to be 10 years, so Rhaneryra should be around 29. Emily Carey, Alicent, is 19 in real life. She's being replaced by Olivia Cooke who is 28, and presumably, Alicent is also supposed to be around 29.
Rhaenyra Targaryen: In episode 2, Viserys mentions his daughter, Rhaenyra, is 15 years old. Then, following a time jump in episode 3, he mentions she is now 17 (and “of age” to marry).
By House of the Dragon's fourth episode, Rhaenyra is around 18 years old and Daemon is 34.
Rhaenyra Targaryen, Played by Milly Alcock and Emma D'Arcy
Rhaenyra is 14 years old at the beginning of House of the Dragon and grows up to 18 during the first four episodes. Milly Alcock, the young Rhaenyra's actress, was 21 when HOTD season one began production.
Daemon's age in the show is not explicitly revealed, but neither are we led to believe that his age is significantly different from what it is in George R. R. Martin's books. So, let's agree that he is (give or take) 16 years older than Rhaenyra. This places him in his early 30s when we first see him meet his niece.
When the show starts, both Rhaenyra and Alicent are 14 years old, while in the book, they not only have a nine-year age gap but Alicent is said to be 18 years old when she marries Viserys in the book while Rhaenyra was only nine years old.
"House of the Dragon" stars Milly Alcock and Emily Carey (who play young Rhaenyra and Alicent, respectively) told Insider that both of their characters are 14 years old in the opening episode of the series, which tracks with them each being born in the late first-century A.C.
Rhaenyra has been pregnant with her daughter Visenya since House of the Dragon's latest and last time jump, and it is heartbreaking to see her deal with this loss. The way in which the scene plays out makes it especially disturbing. RELATED: House of the Dragon: Which Dragon is Daemon Singing To?
Aegon III, aka Aegon the Younger: Rhaenyra and Daemon's first child together.
Despite Rhaenyra and Daemon's excitement over having another child, their daughter will tragically never take a breath of air. Upon hearing the news of King Viserys' death and Aegon seizing the Iron Throne and being crowned King, Rhaenyra goes into dangerously premature labor.
According to the accounts of Septon Eustace, prior to her turning sixteen, Rhaenyra lost her virginity to her uncle, Prince Daemon, after he seduced her.
Originally in the book, Criston Cole had known Rhaenyra since she was seven years old, as he was her sworn shield. When she was around 14 or 15 years old, Rhaenyra attempted to seduce Criston based on teachings from her uncle Daemon Targaryen, played by Matt Smith in the show.
It was Criston Cole to whom Rhaenyra lost her virginity. While Dameon (literally and figuratively) introduced her to the world of sexual pleasures, it was Criston Cole who was the object of the expression of her desires.
Soon after being widowed, Daemon and Rhaenyra marry each other in secret when he is 39 years old, and she is 23. Their marriage causes a huge scandal at court and another rift between Daemon and Viserys, but it is eventually accepted. The couple has two sons together, Aegon and Viserys.
Princess Rhaenyra and Daenerys are distant relatives, living 200 years and about eight generations apart, as this thorough Targaryen family tree demonstrates.
Rhaenyra Targaryen. The same goes for Rhaenyra, who begins the series at 14 and was most recently seen as an 18-year-old, not too far off from Alcock's real age (the actress is currently 22). Guess that means she was “of age” during her sex scene with Ser Criston Cole.
Daemon and Rhaenyra don't just have sex in House of the Dragon Episode 7. By the end of the episode, they've also successfully plotted a way to fake Laenor's death so they can be married.
While we conjectured that something inside forced Daemon to stop before he took Rhaenyra's virginity, a recent HBO-approved “Inside the Episode” installment revealed that something was literally impotence. He literally couldn't get it up.
Rhaenyra and Daemon's sons Aegon, Viserys, and Visenya Targaryen. Sorry for the spoiler, but we did watch Daemon and Rhaenyra get married in last week's episode, so you probably knew this was coming! We haven't seen them yet in the show, but Daemon and Rhaenyra have three sons together.
Alicent Hightower is 14 years old at the start of "House of the Dragon," and Milly Alcock was 21 during filming. Just like young Alicent, Rhaenyra is 14 at the start of the show and ages up to almost 18 years old over the course of the first four episodes.
The upshot: Criston confesses that it was he and not Daemon who slept with Rhaenyra. He expects to be castrated, tortured and/or killed, but Alicent simply lets him go. If you're scoring at home, that's three people who've told Alicent she was wrong to believe Rhaenyra.
Everyone who was a teenager in House of the Dragon Episode 5 has now been recast in Episode 6. Rhaenyra, Alicent, Laenor, and Laena are all being played by older actors to show they're all grown up now and ready for their own Game of Thrones.
