Rocky IV (1985) - Rocky IV also fudges the timeline by making it seem like it starts right after Rocky III but the movie then jumps forward to 1985 when Ivan Drago arrives in the U.S. Apollo was killed by Drago and Rocky defeated the Russian in a fight held in Moscow on Christmas 1985 when Rocky was 38 or 39.
It's been 35 years since the release of Rocky III. But Sylvester Stallone, 70, still has stories to tell about his time on set with pro-wrestler. Apparently, the then 28-year-old Hulk didn't know his own strength and ended up putting THREE stuntmen in the hospital while shooting the 1982 classic.
This places the events in Rocky IV roughly five years after the end of Rocky III (which was set in 1979 and '80), and approximately 10 years after the original Rocky. Furthermore, we know that Rocky and Adrian were married in early 1976 and we know that the match with Drago takes place on Christmas Day.
Another major discrepancy is in relation to Micky's age and date of death. In the first film, Micky says he is 76, placing his birth in either 1899 or 1900. In Rocky III however, his headstone lists his date of birth as 1905, making him 71 in the original film.
Sage Stallone, Sylvester's real-life son, portrays his character's son in the film. In Rocky IV, he was portrayed as a nine-year-old child whereas Sage was 14 at the time of filming, making him a teenager in Rocky V, despite it taking place just days after the events of Rocky IV.
In 1980, Mr. T was spotted by Sylvester Stallone while taking part in NBC's "America's Toughest Bouncer" competition, a segment of NBC's Games People Play. Although his role in Rocky III was originally intended as just a few lines, Mr. T was eventually cast as Clubber Lang, the primary antagonist.
In “Rocky III,” Rocky finished off Thunderlips by tossing his much-larger opponent out of the ring. Stallone reportedly weighed just 155 pounds during the filming while Hogan weighed much more than 300 pounds.

In 1986 (Rocky V), Clubber Lang would have been the opponent to fight Union Cane for the title after Rocky retired that same year after suffering brain damage from his match with Drago.
In 1985, undefeated amateur Russian world boxing champion, 24-year-old Ivan arrived in the United States along with Ludmilla Drago (Ivan's wife), Nicolai Koloff (Ivan's political adviser) and Sergei Igor Rimsky and Manuel Vega (Ivan's trainers).
His absence was accentuated by the first trailer for Creed 3, which, aside from featuring a brief mention of Rocky, focused solely on Adonis, his family, and his backstory. Creed 3 has a time jump of seven years when Adonis Creed at the highest and most successful point of his career.
In the third film, a 39-year-old Apollo Creed appears at the first fight between James "Clubber" Lang, 23, and Rocky Balboa, 34, as a guest moderator.
Drago is seen receiving intramuscular injections in the movie, implied to be anabolic steroids, though the actual nature of the injected solution is never explicitly stated; instead, Ludmilla, his wife, states as a joke that Drago is like Popeye and eats spinach every day.
Robert was born in Rocky II and supported his father in Rocky III and Rocky IV. The most notable evolution of their relationship came in Rocky V when they started to grow apart; this was the direct result of Robert being jealous of Tommy Gunn and the attention that Rocky was giving him.
While the theory connecting Rocky IV and Rocky V to explain Robert's age through the Soviet plot has merit, it was ultimately external casting decisions that saw Rocky Jr. portrayed by an older actor.
UNLIMITED STRENGTH
The answer; there isn't one. The amazing thing about the Hulk is that unlike nearly every other superhero ever created, the Hulk's strength has absolutely no upper limit. He can lift a commercial airplane – which weighs around 100 tons – when he is at his calmest; that's no problem for him.
In the Rocky III novelization, Thunderlips previously wrestled under the name "Macho Mountain". He is accompanied by a trio of female models which he calls his "love slaves" (they are named Dora, Doreen and Daphne in the novelization).
This isn't the first time Stallone has reflected on his experience working with Hogan; earlier this year, he posted a photo of himself lifting the 310-pound wrestler while shooting the movie, and praised him as a "great athlete," saying he "threw the straightest punches I've ever encountered."
The actor and former military man explained in his book that one of the reasons he wore gold was symbolic of his African heritage. “When my ancestors came from Africa, they were shackled by our neck, our wrists, and our ankles in steel chains,” he wrote.
His self-confidence and self-respect are gone in the wake of the loss and the loss of Mickey. At one point he rides his motorcycle to the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the statue of himself. Angered that he can't match the glory it represents, he furiously throws his helmet at it and rides off.
Due to excessive blood loss during labor, she slips into a coma. Rocky becomes distraught, and promises to stay with her until she awakens. In addition to Rocky, she is also visited by Mickey and Paulie. A week later, she regains consciousness.
Unfortunately, Adrian from Rocky is written to have lost a battle with cancer off-screen in the time between 1990's Rocky V and Rocky Balboa.
Rocky Lost Most Of His Fortune To An Unscrupulous Accountant
Rocky lost most of his money by putting Paulie in charge of his finances when he was in Russia in Rocky IV, which ended up being a huge mistake.
At the end of Rocky IV (1985), Rocky's son (born in 1976) is 9. However, at the beginning of Rocky V, which in the movie's time-line takes place only a week after the end of Rocky IV, the boy is already 12 or 13.
