Wrap string or paper around the base of your finger. Mark the point where the ends meet with a pen. Measure the string or paper with a ruler (mm) then divide by 3.14 (or Pi) to get the diameter of the ring. Pick the closest measurement on the ring size chart to find your ring size.
Directions. Take a string and wrap it around the biggest part of his finger and then mark or cut the part where the string joins or overlap. Size 7 = 17.3 mm. Size 7.5 = 17.7 mm. Size 8 = 18.2 mm. Size 8.5 = 18.6 mm.
The average width size for a men's wedding band is 6mm and is suitable for most grooms. When in doubt, go with a 6mm wedding band. 6mm rings make a nice visual statement, without being too flashy. They are comfortable, easy to wear and tend to look good on on hands of all sizes, no matter what they are made of.
For women the most common ring size in Australia is an N or O. For men it is a T or U. These are the equivalent of a US 7 for women and a US 10 for men. Before you can actually make use of your knowledge of Australian ring sizes you will need to know how to measure your ring size.

Standard ring sizes go up by 0.4 millimeters every half-size. For instance, a size 3 ring is 14 mm, a size 3.5 ring is 14.4 mm, and a size 4 is 14.8mm. Women's rings are commonly between sizes 3 (14 mm) and 9 (19 mm), while men's rings are usually sized between 8 (18.2 mm) and 14 (23 mm).
Traditionally speaking, most men have larger fingers than women. Because of this, they tend to have larger ring sizes. Where most women wear between a 7 – 8.5 in their rings, most men wear between a size 9 – 10.5. Ring sizes can go as large as 14 and as small as a size 5.

Cm is usually used for men's ring size by people in Europe, especially the UK. They often range from around 3cm to 5cm, but the most common is 4cm.
And for the chubby ones, their ring size will be around size 7 to 9. But as mentioned before, you must measure your finger to determine what ring size will fit you.
Rule of Thumb: A proper fitting ring should slide over your knuckle with a little friction and fit snugly on your finger, but not too tight. You should feel resistance and need to apply a little extra force to remove the ring backwards over your knuckle.
