The Meaning of Psalm 91 Found in the Four Names of God
But there is also a deeper meaning in this passage, hidden in plain sight. In these verses, there are four names for God: the Most High, the Almighty, the Lord, my God.

It is all about dwelling in safety and security. When we are tired, afraid, or sad, we all want a place to go where we can find rest and peace. When we feel lonely, we need a shelter and we all need our safe places. We can take refuge in the presence of the Lord, knowing that nothing can separate us from God's love.
In whom I trust – Psalm 91 is a wonderful depiction of God's love and care for His people. But in this chapter we are not devoid of responsibility. Our job is fairly simple, but not easy. Our role is to trust in Him completely, to cast all our worries and fears to Him.
Deliver us O God and rescue us from the hand of the enemy. Let us not be afraid or overcome by sickness, disease, and deadly viruses, for you came to give us life and life more abundantly. It is you that heals all our sickness and disease. By your stripes, we have been healed.
He reminds us we are not alone, even in the midst of problems or challenge, he will not let us alone. As a psalm of protection, it is commonly invoked in times of hardship; when life is draining and there seems to be no time or place to rest. This book of Psalm is reassuring, comforting and encouraging.
Psalm 91:1-2 is talking about "rest in the shadow of the Almighty" can mean "in the presence of God." God is always surrounding you, he is everywhere to be with you and protect you. The "shelter" is given to us, His believers from a storm, enemy or anything that can harm us. And we can rest in the"shadow" of God.

``and spiritually it is called the victory of the Messiah, and of everyone that is perfected by him. '' It seems best to understand it of every godly man, who is always safe under the divine protection.
You are NOT powerless. God has given you HIS power. The Psalmist here goes from talking about God protecting us, to taking the authority God GIVES us! As Christians, we have been given authority over the enemy. The enemy does not have power over you – unless you give it to him.
Psalm 91:5. There is so much to fear right now, yet I hope God will encourage you today: You don't have to be afraid. It doesn't matter, day or night, God wants to be there for you. He wants to protect you. Verse 5 and 6 of Psalm 91 cover a 24 hour period of protection.

The first strophe of verse 1, He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High, describes the choice made by one to put their trust in the Lord, the Most High. It makes sense to trust the Most High; there is no higher authority or power than the Most High.
