Your Apple ID consists of your email address and a password you created. You find it in your own memory. It is not connected to your gmail account at all.
Apple allows you to sign up for a new Apple ID using any of your existing email addresses from services like Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook, etc.
NOTE: Your password for Gmail is not necessarily the same as your Apple ID unless you set them that way, the accounts are not linked beyond using the same email address. Please make note of your Gmail password as well as your Apple ID password.
When you create an Apple ID, you need to enter an email address. This email address is your Apple ID and the username that you use to sign in to Apple services, such as Apple Music and iCloud. It's also the contact email address for your account. Make sure you check your inbox regularly.
How to change your Apple ID to a different email address. Go to appleid.apple.com and sign in. In the Sign-In and Security section, choose Apple ID. Enter the email address that you want to use as your Apple ID.
An alternate Apple ID, sometimes referred to as an Apple ID alias, is assigned when an iCloud email address is set up. It may look the same as your Apple ID, but may end in @icloud.com instead of a third-party email provider. Depending on when your account was set up, it may also end in either @me.com or @mac.com.

Your Apple ID is the account you use to access iCloud and all other Apple services. When you sign in to a device with your Apple ID, you have access to all the photos, files, and other data you store in iCloud.
To migrate email from Gmail to iCloud, you have to add a forwarding email address into your Gmail account. Therein, adding a forwarding email address will make it possible to transfer the received emails of your Gmail account into the iCloud mail.
If you already use Apple products, then iCloud email may be the best choice. However, Google's long-standing reputation for security and its integration with productivity apps give Gmail the edge. Plus, most services now allow for Gmail to be used for login credentials, so it has become more universal.
If you use an email address you have and go to https://appleid.apple.com/ you can create an AppleID. As long as you never sign into iCloud with that AppleID, it will never be associated with an iCloud account. iCloud is just another Apple service, like the App Store or iMessage or FaceTime.
Open Settings and tap your name from the top. Just below your name and profile picture, you will see an email. This is your Apple ID.
With this, you can read, write, and manage your emails from your mobile device. Like its web version, downloading and using the app is completely free.
You can use any email address for a new Apple ID. You can also change an existing Apple ID from one third-party address to another, like from @hotmail.com to @gmail.com. However, if your existing Apple ID is an @icloud.com, @mac.com or @me.com address, you can't change it to a third-party one.
You can delete your Apple ID from Apple's Data and Privacy website. Once an Apple ID account is deleted, you'll lose access to a number of services and saved content.
iCloud vs Google Drive: Performance
Google Drive is, overall, the more compatible and widely supported of the two platforms. Apps are available for the platform iOS, macOS, iPadOS, Windows, and Android. Google Drive's web app is also the best we've seen.
On your Mac, use Apple ID Name, Phone, Email settings to change the name, phone, and email information associated with your Apple ID. To change these settings, choose Apple menu > System Settings, click [your name] at the top of the sidebar, then click Name, Phone, Email on the right.
Is your apple id password the same as your email password? They are two completely different accounts. If you used the same password for both accounts (not recommended), then they are the same.
