Just apply a few dabs to a cloth and wipe down the area you'd like to clean and it'll shine-on like a crazy diamond. You can also use one of those nifty removable-head mops (Swiffer, O-Cedar, etc.) with a cloth and a touch of oil to dust and shine wood floors.
Combine a few drops of baby oil, one cup of apple cider vinegar, and a gallon of hot water and use the mixture to mop your floors. You'll be amazed at how bright it shines when you're finished.

A dry Pure Tung oil finish will provide a deep rich color to wood floors. It does not, however, provide a gloss or even semi-gloss finish. To make a semi gloss surface you would need to wax the surface or buff when the floor is dry. Any type of finishing oil can go over Pure Tung Oil at a later date.
In a small bowl, combine 2 cups of water with one tablespoon of liquid soap and mix well. Dip the edge of a clean cloth into the solution, and wring it out well to remove excess liquid. Then use the cloth to gently blot the stained area. Continue this until the stain is completely clear.

I wouldn't use baby oil as it's not intended to sit on a wooden surface for a long time, so might not last as well.
An easy way to fill in microscratches and shine wood floors is to polish your floors after mopping. After dusting and spray mopping, use a designated microfiber mop pad to apply polish to wood floors to add shine. Bona floor polish is easy to use and adds a protection and shine with every application.
You can use a commercial wood-cleaning product, like Bona or Murphy Oil Soap. Be sure to follow the manufacturer's instructions. You can also make your own cleaner by mixing one part vinegar to 10 parts warm water. Add a few drops of liquid Castile soap.
Protection – Regularly oiling your hardwood floors adds an extra layer of protection to prevent dings, dents, and scratches. The deeper the oil penetrates the wood, the more resistant your boards will be to wear and tear.
Oil base poly is a thicker product, and will build up a thicker layer of protection for your hardwood floors. It is a great choice for longevity and high traffic areas. Vegetable oil will preserve the finish of your floor and keep it looking shiny and new. If you're going to take this approach, combine two cups of vegetable oil with two cups of distilled white vinegar. Pour the solution into a spray bottle and spray it on your floor while wiping it down with a clean, microfiber cloth.
Since vinegar is an acid, it will actually break down the finish on the surface of your floor, and over time it will reduce the shine, and leave a dull appearance. Spraying WD-40 or any other lubricant on the floorboards
However, this method does not work. The WD-40 will eventually evaporate, and the wood floor will start making noise again. In addition, this method can damage your hardwood flooring if you use too much lubricant or seep into the floorboard's cracks.
