Parents need to know that Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba is an anime series that features lots of fantasy violence, blood, and scary looking demonic creatures. The dead and possessed include young children, and characters are seen eating human flesh.

Very bloody. A demon, with her powers, wrecks several houses, causing large chaos. A man got his right arm cut clean(Only blood is seen in the area of injury) and lots of bloody scenes with some people lying dead as their partners scream in horror with blood on their faces.

Due to all of that,I'd have to say that this series is for 13+ for a general audience but ultimately you'd have to decide based on your knowledge of how mature your own children are if you want to let them watch it at a younger age.
It's technically classified as a Dark Fantasy. While I don't consider it horror, there are horror elements. Things like the Hand Demon, Muzan killing that woman and the things that Rui did can push it to a horror-style anime.

But Demon Slayer introduced Tanjiro's main love interest briefly, and she doesn't really return until the end of the season, when she is fighting against him. His love interest that develops as the story goes on is Kanao Tsuyuri and their romance is quite adorable.
