Trivia. In the comics, Gorr the God Butcher was a mortal alien who grew to hate the gods after losing his mother, mate and children. Armed with All-Black the Necrosword, Gorr vowed to seek vengeance against all gods for never answering his prayers, which led to an altercation with
In the film, Gorr looks almost human while in the comics, he lacked a nose. Taika said that he wanted to avoid comparisons with the iconic Harry Potter villain Voldemort, who was also pale and did not have a nose.
The first symbiote, All-Black, is an ancient amorphous weapon originating from the evil Knull. It left Knull when he became incapacitated, and bonded itself to Gorr, who becomes imbued with its superhuman powers, including flight as well as increased strength and durability.
Gorr was an alien that lived on an unknown desolate planet, and he had a hard life. His mother dies defending him from wild animals, and once he grows up, he loses even more. He and his people pray to the gods for help and even give sacrifices to the gods to appease them and save their planet.
Thus, Gorr the God Butcher is born. Gorr's weapon, All-Black the Necrosword, is a sentient, symbiotic being. Created by Knull along with other symbiotes like Venom, All-Black bonds to its owner and builds power by feeding off of the gods it kills.
Though she can't shoot lasers out of her eyes, as we saw in the movie, she can control emotions related to love in any being, even on a universal scale. She can also change her appearance at will.
Scarlet Witch
Her use of Chaos Magic would be significantly effective against Gorr's more combat-based attacks, and would allow her to easily overpower the God Butcher.
Galactus is not a Celestial. Both are considered space gods threatening to destroy the earth. Both are giants with unimaginable power and have very similar wardrobes in the comics. Although they have almost identical identities, appearances, and goals, they have a huge difference that sets them apart.
Superman would win in a fight against Gorr the God Butcher. He is stronger, faster, and more resilient than Gorr. In addition to this, Superman could greatly weaken Gorr by destroying the symbiote using his heat vision and making a high-pitched sound that would make Gorr powerless.
But once called out on his cowardice by Thor, he quietly admitted to being afraid of Gorr, as he wielded the Necrosword and was capable of killing all gods for good - but downplayed the threat in order to maintain his mighty image, as well as to not cause panic amongst his peers.
Once the God of Thunder catches up with him, it turns out that Gorr's real goal was to steal Thor's ax Stormbreaker and use it as a key to the Forge of Eternity - which will grant a wish to whoever unlocks it first. But rather than kill all gods, Gorr's request is simple: he wants to resurrect his daughter.
The All-Black is certainly powerful enough to hurt the Hulk, which will make all the difference. Gorr once defeated a god strong enough to wrestle black holes, so the Hulk's strength would not daunt him. A fight between Gorr and Hulk would be short, and the Jade Giant would be on the losing end.
Gorr planted seeds of doubt in Thor's mind, forcing him to question whether gods truly are as noble and benevolent as they seem. Nick Fury seizes on that doubt in 2014's Original Sin, telling Thor "Gorr was right" and rendering the god of thunder so disillusioned that he's no longer able to lift Mjolnir.
Gorr would win in a fight against Kratos. This is because Gorr is stronger, faster, and more invulnerable to injury than Kratos. It would be a close fight because Kratos is an extremely accomplished combatant but in the end, Gorr would be the victor.
But when Gorr discovered that Rapu wasn't a benevolent god, his anger called the Necrosword to him and gave him the strength to kill Rapu. But in return, his body was cursed, desaturating his skin and making his teeth pointed and eyes yellow.
Portrayed by. Peter Jason Quill is a Celestial-Human hybrid who was abducted from Earth in 1988 by the Yondu Ravager Clan, and raised as one of their members, eventually building a reputation as the notorious intergalactic outlaw Star-Lord.
We know from Guardians of the Galaxy 2 that Celestials are god like beings. Odin seems to possess a power far beyond any other Asgardian. He was a celestial that, unlike Peter's dad, used his power to birth a race of people who each carried a bit of his power within them.
Dormammu isn't a Celestial. He is a Faltine which is a race consisting of beings of extra-dimensional energy born from pure energy. He resides in the Dark Dimension from which he can draw energy to augment his powers.
Having wielded the star-forged weapon for countless centuries, Thor and Mjolnir have quite the singular bond, despite the various trials and tribulations they've been through. And that bond is ultimately what proves that the Mighty Thor has surpassed his father, Odin.
However, at his peak during the time of the Celestials 3rd host on Earth, Odin could lift 75 tons, but in Odin's physical prime, he could lift 90 tons. He's also able to augment his strength to even greater heights by tapping into the Odin Force.
Traditionally, Thor only breaks out this armor for his toughest foes, with a prime example being his all-powerful sister, Hela. Thor: Love and Thunder's Battle Armor, then, seems to imply that Gorr is more powerful than Hela, or at least that Thor considers him a greater threat.
Having been adopted by Thor, Gorr's daughter has seemingly become the new owner of the weapon forged to defeat Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War. In Thor: Love and Thunder's ending, Love carried it into battle alongside Thor, who was once again wielding Mjolnir.
As explained in this article, she is Gorr's daughter, brought back to life through a request to Eternity and then adopted by Thor. She becomes the daughter Thor raises as his own one, and they will be known as Love and Thunder.
Hercules' strength is rarely matched. There were times when he even overpowered the Incredible Hulk – a feat that not even Thor could complete. So, when it comes to physical strength, Hercules is the strongest. It was shown multiple times throughout comics.
