Of course, the latest trailer has some fans believing she managed to survive the house fire in the midst of the poisoning, but You's showrunner Sera Gamble previously confirmed that Love is, in fact, dead. She told this publication: “She is lying there [dead].
You might be wondering where Love is, and if she joined her co-conspirator across the pond. But, ICYMI, Love died at the hands of Joe in the season 3 finale.
[Warning: The following contains MAJOR spoilers for You Season 4 Part 2.] At long last, Love has arrived, and Joe thanks God she's not alive. Love Quinn and Guinevere Beck return in You Season 4 Part 2, streaming on Netflix as of Thursday, March 9.
During a heated argument, Forty pulls a gun on Joe. But before he pulls the trigger, Forty is shot and killed by Officer David Fincher, a Los Angeles cop who was close with Joe's neighbors, Ellie and Delilah, and arrived on the scene.
Love Quinn-Goldberg is a main character and later an antagonist in Netflix's You, serving as the titular love interest in the second season and the main antagonist in the third season. She is portrayed by Victoria Pedretti.
Love Quinn (Victoria Pedretti) is one of You's most unforgettable characters. Yet it's also nearly impossible to remember everything Love did over multiple seasons of the deadly thriller series alongside eventual husband and co-conspirator Joe Goldberg (Penn Badgley) — and now she's popped back up in Season 4.
Unfortunately, no, she is not alive. But let's face it — given her particularly gruesome ending in the season 3 finale, the odds of her coming back to life were pretty slim.
Later, Love takes Candace's body to Anavrin where she presumably disposes of it.
All 18 Of Joe Goldberg's Murders From "You" Ranked From Awful To Absolutely Horrifying.
Overall, Love Quinn has directly murdered five people. These are: Sofia, Delilah, Candace, Natalie and her husband, James. However, she really should be held accountable for a sixth, with Gil.
Unfortunately for Joe, he completely rejected Love when it turned out that she was perfect for him—meaning she was also a manipulative murderer with a huge ego and a short temper.
But what happens to Love and Joe's baby Henry in Season 3 of “You”? Before he jets off to Europe, Joe leaves his son in the care of his colleague at the library, Dante. Dante and his husband Lansing had been trying for a child, and Joe writes them a letter saying he hopes that together they will raise Henry.
That's further complicated by Love's trajectory throughout the season. Seen mostly through Joe's first-person perspective as a lovable, if not a bit naïve, young woman longing for love after experiencing her own trauma, she is revealed to be suffering from severe PTSD.
Throughout their lives, Love Quinn (Victoria Pedretti) and Joe Goldberg (Penn Badgley) have murdered a whopping total of fifteen (15!) people.
Despite her apparent overdose, Marienne never dies. She takes enough beta-blockers to look dead. Once Joe abandons Marienne's body, Nadia injects Marienne with a stimulant to wake her up.
Love Was Only A Hallucination In You Season 4
Unfortunately, Love Quinn only returns for a few lines to further psychologically torture Joe - and only as a hallucination. Both Beck and Love appear as hallucinations, adding to Joe's guilt over the recent killings.
If you've been following the psychological thriller series You, you know it follows a bookstore manager who falls in love and develops an extreme obsession with different women. The latest season finally gives main character Joe Goldberg's condition a name—erotomania.
Despite its unusual choice of protagonist – obsessive stalker and serial killer Joe Goldberg (Penn Badgley) – Netflix's You is entering its fourth season, with audiences around the world streaming the many crimes he commits in the name of “love”.
But according to mental health experts, Goldberg's mental health is more complicated, especially since the term psychopath doesn't hold much meaning, clinically speaking. Goldberg shows signs of antisocial personality disorder, narcissism, and codependency in season 1.
Over a roast-chicken dinner, Love reveals to Joe that she did kill her first husband, but it was an accident — she overdosed him with this paralytic when really she just wanted to talk! Now she's got it all figured out: She paralyzes Joe by putting the poison on a knife handle (brilliant!).
As far as Ellie (Jenna Ortega) knows, the Quinn family is responsible for the death of her sister, Delilah. During the season finale, Joe doesn't give Ellie many details about how Delilah died, what happened to her body, or why she was killed.
Love isn't thrilled to see the state of Natalie's face, not just decomposing but sunken, Joe having removed her teeth so that her body, if found, couldn't be identified using dental records.
Theo survives Love's attack.
Joe finds him nearly unconscious, drugs him with some of Cary's stash of medications, and drops him off at a hospital. Joe tells Theo's dad, Matthew, where his son is, and they are reunited.
Sadly, Love Quinn is not alive in You Season 4 Part 2. Joe killed her at the end of season 3. While Love is most definitely dead, she does make an appearance in Season 2, Episode 9, “She's Not There,” during Joe's tranquilizer-induced nightmare.
So, what is the truth, does Rhys have a twin? Well, the answer is no. As many fans had already theorised, Joe's interactions with Rhys in You season 4 are all hallucinations. Rhys did exist but he never knew Joe personally.
