Spud is a coming of age comedy which is likely to entertain older adolescents and adults. There are scenes that may disturb younger viewers and parents may be concerned about the violence, particularly bullying, the sexual references and coarse language in the film.

The acting is amazing by the two leads and you end up really liking characters Sherlock and Watson. The storylines are nostalgic staying true to the tone of the classic Conan Arthur Doyle tales but in modern London. There's plenty of clever British humor. I would say this is appropriate for tweens and teens.
