Lamplighter, the Deep, and Translucent are all more powerful than the ordinary Joe, but Starlight outperforms them all. Her fists can make a strong brick wall appear like it was assaulted by a huge hole puncher, and she can lift up the rear of a car with ease.
Originally, Starlight had the standard superhero strength similar to most of the supes, plus her signature light powers. While Starlight's original powers were already enough for Annie to defeat A-Train in a fight, Starlight was behind characters like Maeve, Soldier Boy, and Homelander in terms of sheer strength.
8 The Deep
Until The Deep takes on another "supe" and shows what he's capable of, he'll remain at the bottom of the list.
The Deep is very fond of receiving unreciprocated oral sex, even preferring it to coitus. Perhaps his self-consciousness regarding his gills has guided this preference. He blackmails Starlight into performing oral sex on him, and his complaint about his wife is that she "gives terrible blow jobs."
As her superhero name suggests, Starlight can absorb electricity and send it out in a blast of light. That's enough to blind her opponents temporarily or knock them out. She's also stronger and less likely to get hurt than others.
Kimiko also forms tight friendships with Hughie and Starlight. Though she isn't always a fan of her powers, she never hesitates to use them to protect the people she cares for. Kimiko is the strongest hero of The Boys, with heightened levels of superhuman strength, durability, speed, and reflexes.
The Boys never pulls punches while establishing just how much of a man's world it is. As if Starlight's trauma bucket wasn't already filled to the brim, she had to forgive Deep for sexually harassing her on TV, and smile through gritted teeth when Homelander revealed their fake-relationship.
In the show's pilot episode, it's revealed that The Deep attempted to sexually assault Starlight. The polarizing scene was even more extreme and appalling in the comics, as Homelander, Black Noir, and A-Train are collectively involved, asking her what lengths she would go to in order to join The Seven.
The Deep initially believes himself to be a high ranking member of The Seven, remarking to Starlight that he is The Seven's #2. The Deep uses this to his advantage, blackmailing Starlight into oral sex with him, something she is strongly against at the time.
12 The Deep Sexually Assaulted Starlight On Her First Day
All the male members in the superhero team, The Seven, ganged up on Starlight and assaulted her.
But in a world of superpowered humans that commit atrocious acts, Homelander remains the best antagonist. Throughout The Boys, Homelander is presented as one of the worst Supes to come out of Vought-American.
The Deep breaths underwater using a set of large gills in his chest, giving him both an insecurity and a weak spot, as he experiences extreme pain if anyone touches them. His connection to ocean life is a weakness as well.
Starlight's main weakness is that her energy powers are dependent on there being an electrical source nearby that she can tap.
The fact that Noir fled instead of going with Homelander to face Soldier Boy indicates that his former team leader has the strength to hurt him as well. Indeed, Noir's reminiscing of 1984 showed Soldier Boy decisively overpowering him and nearly killing him.
In the comic series, she is known by her superhero alias, Starlight. She has the ability to emit blinding light from her hands and also the ability to fly. Annie was born with her abilities and accidentally permanently blinded her parents and the doctors present upon birth.
However, Starlight does not die in the comics when the story finally comes to a close. She is fully prepared to die trying to defeat Homelander, but Queen Maeve actually saves her from his wrath. This results in Homelander killing Queen Maeve, and Black Noir later is the one responsible for killing The Seven's leader.
Her eyes and hands glow as her powers activate. Starlight also has fairly durable skin. While not as impenetrable as Homelander's, she can take bullets without them leaving much more than a scratch and it takes a crystal saw to cut through her skin enough to remove her Vought tracking device.
Despite sharing as personal a bond as two could share, Timothy ultimately died so that The Deep could prove himself to Homelander (Antony Starr). He was force-fed to The Deep during a seafood feast in Vought Tower, even after pleading for his life and revealing he had several unnamed children back in the tank.
So in order to save not just the lives of the people she loves, but the entire world, she sucks it up and goes further down the rabbit hole, “revealing” a secret relationship with Homelander in the American Hero finale in order to rehabilitate his image, and taking it one step further by kissing him.
However, she escaped with The Boys' help, and lost her powers from fighting Soldier Boy. She reunites with Elena and the two go into hiding, pleased with having a chance at starting a new life far away from Homelander and Vought.
Annie's Starlight appearance, especially her original costume, is based on DC heroines Mary Marvel, whereas her powers are based on Marvel's Dazzler, who also can generate light and use it as both heat and concussive force.
The grand finale of The Boys comic book series confirms that there is only one hero who is actually stronger than Homelander, and that's his (even more) evil clone, Black Noir. Created to be an upgraded version of Homelander, Black Noir proves his superiority in the final battle between these two deranged powerhouses.
By every standard, Homelander is considered the strongest super-abled person alive, being feared and respected (but mostly feared) by virtually every other member of The Seven.
Superhuman Strength: Black Noir is strong enough to kill Homelander, needing just one punch to completely destroy his jaw. He is stronger than Homelander, who could hurl a fighter jet with one hand and kill Queen Maeve with just one punch.
