He was a man who received no formal training in combat and managed to take down a bear with a short axe. To sum things up, Tanjuro was one of the strongest characters aside from Yoriichi, given that he was able to access the Selfless State for hours on end.
Overall Abilities: Despite not being a Demon Slayer and having a tragic disease that makes his body incredibly frail, Tanjuro was shown to be a phenomenally strong individual. He was able to slay a bear nearly nine feet tall with a single axe at speeds magnitudes faster than the blink of an eye.
But if we are talking about the human form, then it's a big fat NO, because Tanjiro has just mastered the Sun Breathing whereas Yoriichi is the inventor of it, also he's way more powerful and holds an unfathomable battle intellect, larger than any Demon Slayer in history, so in conclusion, no one is remotely close to ...
I'd even go as far as to say that he could contend with Muzan, possibly beat him if he was health. Even by the end of the series, Tanjiro admits that he's nowhere near as proficient as his dad was with the Breath of the Sun but still managed to keep a weakened Muzan at bay.
Is upper rank one Tanjiro's father? No, they are not related. Tanjiro, by PURE COINCIDENCE, heavily resembles Yoriichi Tsugikuni, the creator of Breath swordsmanship, the only other person to use Sun Breathing, and the only person Muzan ever feared.
Tanjiro's connection to Yoriichi is not through blood relation, but through their similar appearances, which is due to the divine nature of Sun Breathing. (Also Read: Did Demon Slayer hire a Bollywood director for Season 3? Fans speculate!)
Tanjiro's Current Demon Slayer Rank Is Kanoe
Murata, the Demon Slayer, who was almost digested on Mount Nagumo, is also a Kanoe.
Was Tanjuro actually strong in the Demon Slayer series? To understand this, we must go back to the fight that took place between Giyu, Tanjiro, and Akaza. We know that Tanjiro was able to completely outclass Akaza for a few minutes due to his access to the Selfless State and the Transparent World.
1 Yoriichi Tsugikuni (Demon Slayer)
Yoriichi's mastery of the Sun Breathing technique, combined with his incredible speed and agility, made him a formidable opponent for Muzan.
That being said, there is absolutely no chance for Tanjiro Kamado to be able to beat Kibutsuji Muzan. No matter how strong he got, he was nowhere near Yoriichi's level and he was the only one who could successfully drive Muzan into a corner all by himself.
As the battle reached its climax, Tanjiro was able to knock the doll's head off and discovered that the mechanical body contained a mysterious sword. Fans of the manga will recognize this sword as the one carried by Yoriichi Tsugikuni himself.
Rimuru Tempest becomes a God towards the end of the series and can travel back in time and travel between worlds. His space-time abilities alone would be enough to beat Yoriichi.
5) Yoriichi
That being said, there is no doubt that he is the strongest character in the series. Case in point: he was the only one who could single-handedly take on Muzan and drive him to a corner. Yoriichi would be able to defeat every single Hashira on this list without breaking a sweat.
The warrior Muzan feared was a swordsman named Yoriichi Tsugikuni. Yoriichi was the only slayer before Tanjiro who came close to killing Muzan, and the flashback of their fight occurred in Chapter 187.
So the only reason Muzan is afraid of Tanjiro is because of the Hanafuda earrings he possesses, which acted as a reminder of his downfall. nxt. Hanafuda Earrings are a symbol of Sun Breathing users, traditionally passed down from generation to generation as a family heirloom.
Tanjuro Kamado a recurring flashback hero from Demon Slayer : Kimetsu No Yaiba. He was the husband of Kie Kamado, and the father of Tanjiro, Nezuko, Takeo, Hanako, Shigeru, and Rokuta. Tanjuro was a flame dancer who used to dance the Hinokami Kagura during the winter.
Kokushibo is one of the strongest demons in the anime, only second to Demon King Muzan. Before turning into a demon, he was a part of the Demon Slayer Corps alongside his brother Yoriichi Tsugikini.
Kokushibo was the final Upper-Rank to die during Demon Slayer's "Infinity Castle" arc. Muichiro, Genya, Sanemi Shinazugawa and Gyomei Himejima fought together against Kokushibo, though Muichiro and Genya were no match for him and were killed.
Muzan can detect the locations of his demons and can also read their thoughts. However, Nezuko and Tamayo are the only exceptions in the entirety of Demon Slayer, over whom Muzan has no control.
Tomioka Giyu = killed by Tanjiro Kamado. Tanjiro Kamado = killed by Nezuko kamado ( or another demon ) ; or executed for killing a hashira and have protected a demon. Nezuko Kamado = burned to sunlight , killed by a hashira , or eaten by Muzan Kibutsuji ( if she conquires the sun )
We first see Doma when he is still the Upper Moon Six while he is in the middle of eating a geisha. Later he becomes even stronger and rises to the position of Upper Moon Two. He dies because of the lethal amount of poison he absorbed through Shinobu Kocho's body followed by Kanao Tsuyuri beheading him.
1 Gyomei Himejima - The Stone Hashira
The oldest of the bunch, the Stone Hashira, Gyomei Himejima is 27 years old.
Although Tanjiro remains at the fourth bottom of the hierarchy in the Demon Slayer Corps, he has always been strong enough to become a Hashira. Just the fact that Tanjiro has a fully developed permanent Demon Slayer Mark is a testament to his skills.
Further progression in Tanjiro's training showed him getting stronger and stronger. He managed to master total concentration which further improved his abilities and was able to defeat Enmu, a lower rank one demon.
