In Demon Slayer season 1, episode 19, “Hinokami,” Tanjiro's father Tanjuro wears the earrings. They were also worn by Yoriichi Tsugikuni, the originator of the Breathing Styles. Since he did not have children, it can be assumed that he gave the earrings to Tanjuro, who subsequently handed them down to Tanjiro.
Tanjiro wears hanafuda earrings that have the image of the rising sun over a mountain. According to Wikipedia, Hanafuda means “flower cards” in Japanese and are a style of Japanese playing cards that are smaller, but they tend to be stiffer and thicker than Western playing cards.
Many Kimetsu no Yaiba fans deduce that Yoriichi is Tanjiro's father, but that isn't the case. However, Yoriichi is responsible for teaching Tanjiro's ancestors the Hinokami Kagura, which has been passed down for generations.
After his mother Akeno gave him his signature Hanafuda earrings, Yoriichi realized he received them because his family had considered him deaf.
Although this might be plausible if you're not informed, Tanjiro is actually not a reincarnation of Yoriichi.
no. Yoriichi is not Tanjiro's dad, that would be Tanjuro. And Yoriichi is not related to the Kamado clan at all.
Tanjiro is the descendant of someone who knew Yoriichi personally and was a good friend of his as well. Sumiyoshi was rescued by Yoriichi when a demon threatened his life. Since then Yoriichi often met him and they became close acquaintances.
Some of the characters who have faced Yoriichi and survived
This happened due to a treatment that had gone wrong. While he was being treated, Muzan killed the doctor because he was not able to observe any results.
It was Yoriichi's sword, he found it inside Yoriichi Type Zero doll when he destroy the head. And then hotaru took the sword to fix it. Tanjiro also use Kyojuro's tsuba in this sword.
Tanjiro's connection to Yoriichi is not through blood relation, but through their similar appearances, which is due to the divine nature of Sun Breathing. (Also Read: Did Demon Slayer hire a Bollywood director for Season 3?
So the only reason Muzan is afraid of Tanjiro is because of the Hanafuda earrings he possesses, which acted as a reminder of his downfall. nxt. Hanafuda Earrings are a symbol of Sun Breathing users, traditionally passed down from generation to generation as a family heirloom.
The warrior Muzan feared was a swordsman named Yoriichi Tsugikuni. Yoriichi was the only slayer before Tanjiro who came close to killing Muzan, and the flashback of their fight occurred in Chapter 187.
This was because more limbs were required to accurately depict the movements of the legendary swordsman. No one knows the strength of Yoriichi Tsukiguni like his brother does. It is highly possible that Kokushibo manipulated his flesh and decided to have 6 eyes to have better vision.
The reason why they know this technique is due to the fact that Sumiyoshi Kamado, Tanjiro's ancestor, was an acquaintance of Yoriichi Tsugikuni.
Kokushibo was loyal to Muzan, acting as enforcer to the Twelve Kizuki. In return, Muzan sees him as a business partner, possibly due to his fanatic loyalty to him, being his strongest Demon and because the two were jointly responsible for almost exterminating Sun Breathing.
So to compare Tanjiro's Demon form in which he's immune to sunlight, and also has the prowess of Sun Breathing, it would give him an upper hand, but still he would lose to Yoriichi.
When Yoriichi moved forward to kill him, Muzan used the remains of whatever power he had left and divided his body in a powerful burst. Though Yoriichi was able to destroy nearly all the fragments, the pieces he missed escaped and allowed Muzan to regenerate again.
Yoriichi would be able to defeat every single Hashira on this list without breaking a sweat. Such was his reputation and skill in swordsmanship.
Just to be clear: the scene that Tanjiro sees is of his ancestor Sumiyoshi, who is aided by the legendary demon slayer (and Sun Breathing creator) Yoriichi.
As it turned out, the scar on Tanjiro's forehead did have some significance to it, rather than simply being a Todoroki-esque burn from scalding water. Tanjiro wasn't born with this scar on his forehead. Rather, he acquired it when tackling his younger brother out of the way of a falling pot of boiling tea.
Tanjiro certainly did a lot of good with his Water Breathing techniques, but his ability to use Sun Breathing both gives him an edge in battle and allows him to stand out among the incredibly powerful Hashira he fights alongside.
Nevertheless, before things proceed any further, Tanjuro Kamado is Tanjiro Kamado's father's name. He died before a major event in the Demon Slayer story.
During Tanjiro and the rest of the Hashiras' showdown with the Demon King Muzan, Tanjiro is mortally wounded and dies. At the same time, Muzan receives a particularly fatal lil' booboo himself. As Muzan is about to shuffle off the mortal coil, he uses the last of his powers to turn Tanjiro into a demon.
In the Demon Slayer Corps, the Hashira is a group of the strongest and most reputable swordsmen who have defeated members of the Twelve Kizuki. Yet, for some reason, Tanjiro Kamado, the series' protagonist, never becomes a Hashira.
