While the flower itself does not exist in reality and is only a part of the lore of Demon Slayer, the Blue Spider Lily is based off the very real Red Spider Lily, which has surfaced prominently throughout Japanese folklore.
The doctor used an extremely rare flower known as the Blue Spider Lily - which doesn't exist in reality - as a base ingredient in Demon Slayer Muzan's treatment. However, it didn't seem to be having any real effect, leading a distraught Kibutsuj to kill the doctor instead.
However, since the Blue Spider Lilly was found to only bloom during the day, that may explain why Muzan never found them after spending so long looking. As a demon, Muzan would obvioulsy not be able to go out and find them due to the devastating effects of sunlight on his body.
Nezuko's Sunlight Immunity in Demon Slayer is Tied to the Blue Spider Lily. Nezuko having eaten the Blue Spider Lily at some point could explain her immunity to sunlight, and Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba has already worked to justify that.
The blue spider lily is an essential ingredient in the medicine that turned Muzan into a demon. The flower only blooms during the day for two to three days per year.
Kie Kamado knew where the Blue Spider Lilies bloomed, and showed them to Tanjiro Kamado when he was very young. This is why he was vaguely able to briefly recall them when his life was flashing before his eyes during the battle against Rui.
Zenitsu crushing on Nezuko. Upon seeing her for the first time, Zenitsu falls in love with Nezuko at first sight. She apparently views Zenitsu as a "weird dandelion" and did not initially seem to reciprocate his feelings. Although the two are rarely seen interacting together, Zenitsu treats her with affection and care.
This explains why Muzan never found it, as he would have been unable to go out during the day. Unfortunately, due to a mistake, all the samples of the flower he had withered, likely preventing the possibility of the ressurection of the Demon race as we know it.
Since Nezuko is from a Sun Breathing lineage, she can survive in daylight. After the final battle against Hantengu concludes, she can step into daylight, and many theories are available about the phenomenon. One of the theories is that her abstinence from consuming human blood is what saved her.
The two known demons who broke free of Muzan's curse are Tamayo and Nezuko. Tamayo was able to break free of the condemnation when Yoriichi fought Muzan, nearly killing him in the process.
Even 400 years later, Muzan's fear of Yoriichi remained fully intact, as simply laying eyes on Tanjiro's hanafuda earrings caused him to recall their clash.
His heart stopped multiple times in his mother's womb, and when he first entered the world, he was deemed stillborn, having no pulse and not breathing. When he was taken to be cremated, he escaped death by releasing his first cries. Muzan as a human.
In a nutshell, Muzan, being the progenitor of demons, is not scared of Doma. However, he is irritated by his inability to decipher Doma's thoughts and feelings, which is the ultimate control he has over all of his creations. Upper-Rank Two: Doma is a nihilistic maniac and a misanthropic cold-blooded demon.
Both are blood-red in color and grow in clusters. A Red Spider Lily's bulb is poisonous and commonly associated with death in Japanese legends. It is shown that Kie Kamado, Tanjiro's Mom, knew when the blue spider lily bloomed, and she even showed Tanjiro when he was younger.
Red Spider Lily, also known as Lycoris radiate, is a late-summer bloomer that thrives in zones 5-10. It is deer resistant and fragrant, making it a must have in the garden and cut for unique summer bouquets. Strap-shaped green leaves.
During his final struggle, and as a way to slow down the effects of the sunlight, Muzan adopts an enlarged demonic infant form, approximately as tall as a 3 story building when standing up. In this form he has very pronounced blood vessels across his body, small claws in his hands and fanged teeth in his mouth.
For those who have watched only the first season of the anime, they will be surprised to know that Muzan turns into a woman in the second season. He keeps transforming in order to hide his true identity, and he's even known to change into an 11-year-old child to hide from Demon slayers.
When Demon Slayer's Tanjiro met Muzan in Tokyo, Muzan had a human wife and daughter with him. There's a chance he genuinely cared for them. In the story of Demon Slayer, demons are supernatural creatures of the night who consume human flesh to survive. They are weak to sunlight, making them a variation of vampires.
Nezuko Kamado
Zenitsu also protects Nezuko multiple times when she is in danger, evident during Zenitsu's first meeting with Inosuke Hashibira and the battle against Enmu in the train. Eventually Zenitsu and Nezuko would marry and start a family as evidenced by their descendants.
At the end of the chapter, there is a picture of Inosuke giving acorns to Aoi while she smiles. It is confirmed in the Volume 23 extras that Inosuke and Aoi did eventually end up together and that they have two great-grandsons, one of which is Aoba.
Later it is revealed that he married fellow slayer Kanao Tsuyuri. In the Modern World, Tanjiro and Kanao had descendants named Sumihiko Kamado and Kanata Kamado.
Nezuko and her older brother Tanjiro Kamado are the sole survivors of an incident through which they lost their entire family due to the Demon King, Muzan Kibutsuji, with Nezuko being transformed into a demon, but unexpectedly still showing signs of human emotion and thought.
So the only reason Muzan is afraid of Tanjiro is because of the Hanafuda earrings he possesses, which acted as a reminder of his downfall. nxt. Hanafuda Earrings are a symbol of Sun Breathing users, traditionally passed down from generation to generation as a family heirloom.
Thus, Muzan created demons for hundreds of years even when he didn't want to turn someone. Since he didn't know anything about the Blue Spider Lily medicine, he needed others to find the plant for him by happenstance. This is the general reason why Muzan turned Nezuko into a demon.
