Panadeine Extra – Basically is the stronger version of Panadeine.
Panadol Extra with Optizorb provides 37% stronger pain relief as compared to standard paracetamol alone1. It has been proven to be more superior in relieving pain across a number of pain states.
Panadol Osteo, however, is specifically designed to treat persistent pain associated with osteoarthritis, as well as muscular aches and pains. It contains a higher dosage of Panadol's active ingredient – paracetamol – with 665mg. Regular Panadol contains 500mg of paracetamol, by comparison.
Paracetamol (brand name: Dymadon, Febridol, Panadol, Panamax, Paralgin, Panadol Osteo) is a common pain killer (analgesic). It can also lower raised body temperature (fever). It is used for relief of fever, headaches, the pain of arthritis and other minor aches and pains, including pain from colds, flu and period pain.

Panadol Extra Advance contains a combination of active ingredients – paracetamol and caffeine. The combination of ingredients in Panadol Extra Advance is clinically proven to provide more effective pain relief than standard paracetamol tablets.

Do not take this medicine if you are taking other prescription or non- prescription medicines containing paracetamol to treat pain, fever, symptoms of cold and flu, or to aid sleep.

Morphine is a stronger opioid drug. Other examples of strong opioids include diamorphine, oxycodone, fentanyl, methadone and buprenorphine. Opioid medicines come in many forms including tablets, capsules, liquids, skin patches and injections.
What is the strongest anti-inflammatory medication? Research shows diclofenac is the strongest and most effective non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medicine available.10 Diclofenec is sold under the prescription brand names Cambia, Cataflam, Zipsor, and Zorvolex.
Oral NSAIDs
NSAIDs can provide good pain relief in osteoarthritis. They have been shown to be equal to and often better than paracetamol for relief of osteoarthritis pain, but NSAIDs are not suitable for everyone. Health professionals only recommend NSAIDs if you are at low risk of side effects.
Paracetamol provides relief of pain and high temperatures within 30 minutes of taking a dose.
Experts believe that acetaminophen is safe for people with high blood pressure. Acetaminophen is also less likely to cause gastrointestinal problems than NSAIDs.
No interactions were found between Panadol and Panamax. However, this does not necessarily mean no interactions exist. Always consult your healthcare provider.
Do not use for more than a few days at a time unless your doctor tells you to. Do not take more than the recommended dose unless your doctor tells you to. Do not use PANADOL OSTEO to treat any other complaints unless your pharmacist or doctor tells you to.
It's safe to take paracetamol regularly for many years, as long as you do not take more than the recommended dose.
Pain relieving medicines such as paracetamol, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and opioid medicines (such as codeine and morphine) don't usually work for nerve pain.
If you have mild-to-moderate pain, paracetamol is often the best painkiller to try first. But NSAIDs such as ibuprofen can be better for pain associated with inflammation.
Consistent with results from other acute pain states, caffeine acts as an analgesic adjuvant and enhances the efficacy of paracetamol.
You must not drink tea, coffee, chocolate or fizzy drinks containing caffeine if you need to take this medicine. Do not drink alcohol (wine, beers, spirits) whilst taking this medicine. If you need to have tests for your heart, stop taking this medicine 24 hours before the test. It may affect the results.
