Recipients of both Carer Payment and Carer Allowance will receive two Carer Supplement payments worth $1200 in total.
If you don't live with the person, you care for, you have to provide at least 20 hours of care every week. An additional form is required (the Carer Allowance questionnaire). Carer Allowance can be paid for a maximum of two adult care receivers and any number of children.
Automatic Carer Payments rolling out July 1st 2023: Supporting Children with Disabilities and their Carers. There will be two automatic carer payments rolling out to carers in 2023. The Child Disability Assistance Payment of $1,000 and the carer supplement of $600.

Carer Allowance is a supplementary payment if you care for someone who needs daily support. If the person you care for has a terminal medical condition, or needs ongoing daily assistance for at least 12 months, this payment could be for you. You can get both of these at the same time, depending on your circumstances.
If you're eligible on the first qualifying date in April, you'll be paid Carer's Allowance Supplement in June. If you're eligible on the second qualifying date in October, you'll be paid Carer's Allowance Supplement in December. The payment will be made in the same way as your Carer's Allowance is paid.
You can get one advance in 12 months. The amount of the advance payment is equal to 13 payments of Mobility Allowance. If you get an advance payment, your Mobility Allowance will stop. It will start again when the advance period has finished.
Carer supplement (CS) is an annual payment to carers who receive or are taken to receive an instalment of a qualifying payment for a period including 1 July. It is paid in addition to the eligible primary payment.
This payment is for those who, due to their caring responsibilities, are unable to support themselves through substantial paid employment. Carer Payment recipients can engage in employment or study for up to 25 hours per week (including travel time) and remain eligible for payment.
A one-off payment to support families in financial hardship after a catastrophic event affecting a child younger than 7. This payment is for you if you give full time care to a child younger than 7 who has been affected by a catastrophic event.

Nearly five million Australians will receive a major increase to their pension and allowance payments from today following an indexation. Recipients of the Age Pension, Disability Support Pension and Carer Payment can expect an increase of $37.50 a fortnight for singles and $56.40 a fortnight for couples combined.
Eligible carers will receive two payments of £270.50 as the supplement is paid as a six-month sum. Payment dates will be announced later on in the year.
Generally, direct payments for carers are a one-off payment given to support the carer to have some time to look after their own wellbeing. For example, the payment could be used to go to the gym, or pay for driving lessons or a break away. These are sometimes called a carer direct payment or carer budget payment.
You don't have to ask for your full entitlement - you can ask for less. If you decide you need more, you can ask for a second payment but you'll have to explain why you need it. The first and second payments added together can't add up to more than your monthly entitlement.
A hardship advance payment is an amount of a claimant's first instalment of social security pension or benefit that is paid at grant, or the first instalment immediately following resumption of payment, to assist people in severe financial hardship including on release from prison.
If you qualify, you'll be able to apply for a loan between $2,050 and $5,000 – based on your ability to pay the sum back. People receiving Carer's Allowance should have no issues with both banks and specialist lenders. Banks don't generally consider Austudy when making decisions on loan applications.
If you receive Carer's Allowance, you also qualify for a Christmas Bonus each year (unless you get one with another benefit).
Eligible carers get two payments a year, in June and December. Carer's Allowance Supplement payments were £245.70 in 2022 and £270.50 in 2023. Around £232 million has been invested in the Supplement since 2018, providing extra support for more than 141,000 carers.
If you do not get Carer's Allowance on the qualifying date but are later awarded the benefit which is backdated to cover that date, you will be eligible for the Carer's Allowance Supplement for that period.

The Work Bonus income bank is useful for pensioners who wish to work, particularly those who undertake intermittent or occasional work. Note: from 1 December 2022 to 31 December 2023, a one-off, temporary credit of $4,000 applies to Work Bonus income bank balances.
How long will my claim take to process? If you provide all the necessary information when you lodge the claim, you should receive a response from Centrelink within 12 weeks of lodging.
