The grand finale of The Boys comic book series confirms that there is only one hero who is actually stronger than Homelander, and that's his (even more) evil clone, Black Noir.
1. Superman. Superman is the most powerful and iconic superhero to ever exist, and can truly be seen as one of the most powerful forces opposing Homelander. His exceptional strength and invulnerability, combined with his ability to fly, make him a formidable opponent.
Superhuman Strength: Black Noir is strong enough to kill Homelander, needing just one punch to completely destroy his jaw. He is stronger than Homelander, who could hurl a fighter jet with one hand and kill Queen Maeve with just one punch.
Homelander's clone is able to kill him because they share the same powers. Here's where Ryan comes in: Homelander's son may not be his clone, but he's close enough. Ryan's powers likely rival that of his father's, which suggests he's the only one capable of finally doing away with the villain.
Make no mistake, Homelander is more powerful than Soldier Boy, but can he take him out in a fight? We don't think so. Besides, unlike Homelander, who probably wants all the credit for himself, Soldier Boy isn't above asking for help.
One of the most powerful characters on The Boys, Homelander has heightened levels of superstrength, durability, stamina, and senses. He also possesses heat vision that he can either choose to shoot with a laser focus or use as a concussive force from his eyes.
The fact that Noir fled instead of going with Homelander to face Soldier Boy indicates that his former team leader has the strength to hurt him as well. Indeed, Noir's reminiscing of 1984 showed Soldier Boy decisively overpowering him and nearly killing him.
The original Soldier Boy is later revealed to have been mercy killed by Mallory during his first mission at the Battle of the Bulge, after his "Avenging Squad" inadvertently caused Mallory's men to be massacred, and been replaced by the second for the remainder of the war.
Though Captain America is one of the most beloved Marvel superheroes, his skills and abilities may not be enough to overtake the powerful Homelander. Though his vibranium shield may be able to hold off Homelander's heat vision, Homelander's other powers may give him the edge to easily overpower Cap. ...
Well, Homelander was created as an obvious copy of Superman, so their powers are virtually identical, except Superman is more powerful as you mentioned. The two differences are that Homelander has no apparent weakness to a specific substance, no “kryptonite”, and that he can't see through zinc instead of lead.
Powers and abilities
In the comics, Black Noir is a long-time member of the Seven, almost always shown in silhouette with his face obscured. His powers include super strength and supposed skills as a pilot. He is stronger than even Homelander; Mother's Milk states he can "[...] bench a dozen Mack trucks".
Similar to Captain Marvel, Thor is one of the more powerful Avengers and Marvel characters in general. Given that Thor has more experience fighting in both the cosmic universe and on Earth, Homelander has no chance against Thor.
Given his physiology as an Eternal, Thanos, even without the Infinity Stones, could outmatch Homelander, as he's stronger and can take way more damage as he's practically invulnerable. Unlike Superman, Homelander isn't nearly as indestructible as he likely could be killed.
Could Homelander Beat The Avengers? Which's Avengers member is easily beat first by The Homelander? Most of the avengers sure. But the heavy hitters like hulk, Thor, and arguably iron man can beat homelander.
Although Homelander is one of the main antagonists of the comic series, he is not killed by his archenemy Billy, but is instead killed by Black Noir. His name literally means "A person from one's homeland".
In fact, Hulk is strong enough to literally punch through time, and considering Homelander's inexperience in fighting powerful opponents, it wouldn't take long for Hulk to smash him into oblivion.
Spider-Man could just do what he did against Firelord, and just keep hitting him and retreating until Homelander is a dead man… And if he can get the opportunity, he could also shoot webs down his throat.
For all of Aquaman's strength and tactical skills, he just doesn't have what it takes to bring down Homelander. While Arthur Curry is far more powerful and competent than his Seven counterpart, the Deep, he just isn't strong enough to take on Homelander.
In an all-out battle, Homelander would undoubtedly win. He can easily use his superhuman speed and strength to defeat the Bat. Batman would still put up a fight thanks to his inventions & intellect, and superior combat skills. However, Homelander, with his superhuman strength and durability, would carry the day.
Yup, Soldier Boy is Homelander's biological father. Suddenly all these daddy issues make a lot more sense. This character element isn't from the original The Boys comics, but was something Kripke and the writer's room came up with for the show.
Benjamin, better known as simply Soldier Boy, or Ben, is a major antagonist of the Amazon series The Boys, serving as a mentioned character in Seasons 1 and 2, and one of the two main antagonists (alongside Homelander) of Season 3.
The superhero Soldier Boy was given a shield with an eagle emblem sometime after World War II, during which he preferred to carry a submachine gun. The shield is very heavy, as normal humans cannot lift it, while he can wield it with ease. In 1984, Soldier Boy and Payback were stationed in Nicaragua.
During Payback's fight against Soldier Boy, Black Noir received catastrophic brain injuries that left him both unable to verbally communicate and saddled with bizarre hallucinations of cartoon animals.
The grand finale of The Boys comic book series confirms that there is only one hero who is actually stronger than Homelander, and that's his (even more) evil clone, Black Noir. Created to be an upgraded version of Homelander, Black Noir proves his superiority in the final battle between these two deranged powerhouses.
Noir's animated animal pals get him to face his Soldier Boy fears by re-creating the event that made him so completely terrified of Soldier Boy in the first place, a day when Soldier Boy beat him up after he stood up to him, as well as the nearly fatal attack Soldier Boy made on Noir the day he led Payback in ...
