If you're playing The Quarry and hoping to see a romance that isn't straight, you're in luck — if you make the right choices. Though none of the characters express their sexuality, it's clear that Ryan is at least into men and women, and that Dylan is interested in men.
The player can pick either 'TRUTH' or 'DARE' as the game dictates; in order to unlock the kiss choice, he needs to choose DARE. Picking TRUTH instead adds some more information about his connection with Chris Hackett and the other counselors, but there is no kissing option as a result.
The short answer is, yes. If you make the right decisions, you can explore the relationship between two of the young men, Ryan and Dylan.
Ryan. As early as Chapter 1, it is established through dialogue with Jacob that Kaitlyn has a thing for Ryan, citing a catty line in which she sarcastically comments on Ryan's “sexy, brooding, loner” personality doing "nothing for her, at all".
I was reading the wiki page for Ryan and Dylan, and they mention that Dylan really had a crush on Ryan.
Laura Kearney is one of the nine main protagonists and a playable character in The Quarry. She is one of the nine counselors at Hackett's Quarry summer camp and the girlfriend of Max.
If we kiss him, the exchange between Nick and Abi will end, starting the next part of the scene (you can skip to it here). However, if we don't kiss him, we'll get a little more dialogue that fleshes out Abi and Nick's relationship while still getting the option to kiss him later.
He is responsible and the owner of the Hackett's Quarry, Chris Hackett, fully trusts him. He is also charming despite his loner vibe and was voted the most attractive counselor by Bunk 7, and both Dylan and Kaitlyn have a crush on him.
Jacob. Jacob is the popular kind of character. He's arrogant but also charming and wants everyone to have a good time. He's in love with Emma, and he'll try to keep the relationship going.
Dylan and Ryan's relationship truly starts to blossom when the dangerous truth of Hackett's Quarry begins to rear its head. Dylan admits he's never really considered the class clown persona he shows everyone else to be the “real” him.
It is still possible to save Dylan if the monster bites his hand by using Ryan to amputate it before the infection spreads. This is best done by choosing the CONFIDENT dialogue option and then the CHAINSAW to successfully cut Dylan's arm off.
If turned, Dylan is the only counselor who can never kill anyone in his werewolf form. He and Abigail are the only two playable characters who can never kill anyone, though they can cause injuries that would be fatal without werewolf healing to Silas and Nick, respectively.
Nick and Abigail both have crushes each other at the beginning of the game, but are too shy to make any move.
Mischievous: Ryan asks Kaitlyn if she ever slept with Jacob, to which she answers no. She only practiced kissing with him in seventh grade and realized he's like a brother to her.
Max Brinly is Laura Kearney's boyfriend. He is the first infected of the adventure. He is led to be isolated on an island to protect himself from infection. To save Max, he must stay on Quarry Island at all costs or die at the hands of Caleb Hackett.
Nick. Nick and Abigail both have crushes each other at the beginning of the game, but are too shy to make any move.
10 Everyone Loves Ryan
Later in the game, Ryan tells Laura that he knows they're both interested, but he isn't sure he's interested in either of them. Cutting back to Kaitlyn and Dylan, the two express that Ryan is interested in Laura. Despite having a boyfriend, Laura and Ryan share some great chemistry.
If Emma doesn't make it beyond the island and is the first werewolf kill in the game, she'll neither return to her friends nor transform into a werewolf herself.
When Laura is offered the vial of werewolf blood, select GIVE TO RYAN. This will keep him safe during the confrontation. Shoot the White Wolf, and you've managed to save Ryan and cure the curse in The Quarry. Alternatively, you can spare the White Wolf, who will then kill everyone except for Ryan because of the blood.
Emma is Jacob's former fling at the beginning of the game, one who he still has feelings for. Emma however does not reciprocate his desire to have a committed relationship. In order to try to change her mind he sabotages the van to keep them at summer for one last night.
Actor. Christopher "Chris" Hackett is a supporting character and a secondary antagonist as a werewolf in The Quarry. He is the owner of Hackett's Quarry summer camp. He was voiced and motion captured by David Arquette.
Sadly, that is not possible in all cases. A perfect example of that is Nick, the unlucky lad who is first to face the nightmares of Hackett's Quarry. While talking to Abi in the woods, they will be attacked by a werewolf. Nick will be bitten, there is no way to change that.
Not shooting the hunter results in Nick biting his finger and then running to Ryan. This causes Bobby to remove the infected finger using the gun, which freaks Ryan out. On the other hand, shooting Bobby will make him go away, but not before dropping a blood vial, which will be a key item in chapter 10.
When Jacob loses the rotor arm while swimming with Emma, choose to DIVE IN rather than HELP ABI as that will gain you some new evidence. His hand will get stuck. Don't pull, as that will lead to Jacob drowning. Instead, you want to choose DETANGLE to keep him alive.
