When it comes to dairy products, an individual with type-B blood is said to benefit most from yogurt, low- or nonfat milk, goat milk or cheeses such as mozzarella, ricotta, cottage, feta or farmer cheese. These, along with eggs, supposedly contribute to efficient metabolism for type-B people.
Blood Group: B
Consume: Green vegetables, eggs, low-fat dairy, oats, milk products, animal protein, oat bran, paneer, eggs, fish, oat meal and quinoa. Avoid: Corn, buckwheat, tomatoes, peanuts, sesame seeds, wheat, chicken, fish and eggs.
People with blood type A will be able to easily digest yogurt, kefir, goat milk products, and select cheeses (such as feta and goat cheese.)
Type B blood: Avoid corn, wheat, buckwheat, lentils, tomatoes, peanuts, and sesame seeds. Chicken is also problematic, D'Adamo says. He encourages eating green vegetables, eggs, certain meats, and low-fat dairy.
Rice and oatmeal are among the grains that are permitted if you have type B blood, but there are other options that you should eliminate from your diet, Dr. D'Adamo recommends. These include lentils and wheat, including wheat-based foods such as bread and pasta.
Wheat, barley, corn and rye are off-limits to type-B people on the blood type diet, while cereal grains such as oats, oat bran, rice bran, spelt and millet are encouraged, as are brown rice bread, rice cakes, Ezekiel or Essene bread and any other products made with oat or rice flour.
Type B's thrive on seafood, especially cold water fish like cod, salmon and tuna, which are high in beneficial omega-3 oils. White fish such as cod, halibut and sole are excellent choices as well.
Type B people can happily have oats, millet, sugar-free muesli, cottage cheese, and eggs. Vegetable such as sweet potato, spinach and berries, and fruits like watermelon are also a healthy list for them.
Those with type B blood should pick a diverse diet including meat, fruit, dairy, seafood, and grains. To lose weight, type B individuals should choose green vegetables, eggs, liver, and licorice tea but avoid chicken, corn, peanuts, and wheat.
Fruits and Vegetables
Type B people should not have tomatoes, tofu, avocados, olives, corn, pomegranates or coconuts.
Therefore, those with lactose intolerance may need to avoid yogurt. However, some people who are lactose intolerant may be able to tolerate it. Some of the lactose breaks down during production, and probiotics may assist with its digestion ( 54 ).
Although people looking to follow the blood type O diet should generally avoid dairy and eggs, they can occasionally consume the following products: butter. cheeses, such as farmer, feta, mozzarella, and goat's cheese.
ALLOWED or NEUTRAL dairy products for your type are mainly ghee, kefir, goat milk, sour cream, yogurt; cheeses: farmer, feta, mozzarella, paneer, quark, ricotta; eggs: duck, chicken, goose, quail. Soya milk and cheese are excellent dairy substitutes for type A's.
Although coffee doesn't do any real harm to Blood Type B secretors, they are better off limiting beverages to herbal and green teas since the goal is to maximize performance, not to keep it neutral. For Type B non-secretors, coffee is an Avoid.
Try to incorporate at least one or two beneficial fruits daily to take advantage of their pro-B medicinal qualities. Buy organic and non-GMO fruits if possible. Eat fruits raw to preserve their full benefits. Eat vitamin C-rich fruits, such as guava, kiwi, papaya, or orange, for their antioxidant properties.
It is important to leave off chicken for Type Bs. Chicken contains a Blood Type B agglutinating lectin in its muscle tissue, which attack the bloodstream and potentially lead to strokes and immune disorders. Type Bs thrive on deep-ocean fish, but should avoid all shellfish.
Regular exercise is important for Type B individuals. Dr. D'Adamo recommends that they should do something social that is also mentally challenging or provides some mental stimulation. He suggests that cycling, hiking, tennis are all good exercise regimens for Type B's.
Blood type B people are outgoing, take leadership, fun to talk with, and do things at their own pace. Easy going and hardly get depressed for thinking too much about something. Even when they are troubled by someone or things won't turn out as they planned, they would often say just “oh, well”.
Why is B positive blood important? B positive is an important blood type for treating people with sickle cell disease and thalassaemia who need regular transfusions. These conditions affect South Asian and Black communities where B positive blood is more common.
Allowed Nuts and Seeds
Individuals with type B blood on the Blood Type diet are told that they can eat only a few types of nuts regularly without any harmful consequences. These nuts include Brazil nuts, chestnuts, pecans, walnuts, almonds and hickory or macadamia nuts.
People with blood type B are prone to life style diseases but they can lead a healthy life with variety of food. Buck wheat, sesame seeds, peanut and corn cause weight gain. It is advisable that you avoid chicken and meat, but you can include any fish except shellfish.
Salmon is beneficial for Blood Types A, AB and B and neutral for Type O, making it one of the most universally healthy seafood options for Blood Type Diet followers. Wild-caught salmon is a great source of nutrients, including Omega-3 fatty acids; a kind of nutrient that many people are deficient in.
Blood type B: Cottage cheese
The good news for anyone with type B blood is that they can eat as much dairy as they like as they are the only blood type that can process it well.
According to the Blood Type diet guidelines, the most beneficial grains for people with type A blood include sprouted wheat, cereals like kasha, buckwheat or amaranth and rice, oat or rye flour. All types of white or wheat flour should be avoided, along with semolina pasta.
Unlike other blood types, B's can fully enjoy potatoes and yams, cabbages, and mushrooms. There are only a handful of vegetables that type B's should avoid. Tomatoes contain lectin that can agglutinate every blood type.
